Kings Launch 'SacramenTENs Assist' Campaign

--Organization plans biggest community assist to date – Ten weeks, Ten percent, Ten local charities--

SACRAMENTO ---- The Sacramento Kings announced today the team has launched "SacramenTENs Assist" – a major community giving campaign in which ten percent of all season tickets sold through October 10 will be donated to ten local charities.

"The Kings organization cares deeply about this community, and we are thrilled to celebrate the extraordinary charitable work that takes place in Sacramento on a daily basis," said Kings President and COO Chris Granger. "We are leading the NBA in new season ticket sales and we believe this success can be parlayed into helping deserving charities in the region. SacramenTENs Assist offers a unique platform for us to unite with fans and business leaders to provide our biggest assist yet."

"This program is a great example of how the Kings can do well by doing good," said Mayor Kevin Johnson. "I applaud Chris and the Kings for showing leadership as prominent corporate citizens in our community, and encourage fans to participate in the SacramenTENs campaign to support both the Kings and several deserving charities in our community."

Starting today, ten percent of all new season ticket sales will directly benefit the following ten local charities: Sacramento Reads, B Street Theatre, Sleep Train Foster Kids Program, Make-A-Wish Foundation (Northeastern California and Northern Nevada chapter), Sacramento Food Bank, Shriners Hospitals for Children (Sacramento chapter), Sacramento Zoo, Big Brothers Big Sisters (Greater Sacramento chapter), American Heart Association (Sacramento affiliate), and the Sacramento Kings Foundation.

"We appreciate the contribution of the SacramentTENs Assist program to local foster children through our award-winning Foster Kids program," said Dale Carlsen, CEO of Sleep Train Mattress Centers. "As we gear up for a new season of Kings basketball, the SacramentTENs campaign has created buzz for purchasing season tickets while providing an opportunity for fans to give back to their community. This emphasis on supporting a vibrant community through local sports and also considering those less fortunate in our region is at the heart of our employee-owned business."

Additionally, the Kings have established a program for local businesses to participate. The "SacramenTENs Business Elite Package" is tailored for companies looking to support the campaign by purchasing ten season tickets for $10,000—a membership plan including several additional marketing and hospitality benefits.

The "SacramenTENs Assist" campaign represents an extension of the organization's charitable arm – The Sacramento Kings Foundation, which seeks under its "Project Assist" banner to raise revenue and awareness for community nonprofit institutions by focusing on core values of civic responsibility, education, health and wellness and youth and family.
