SACRAMENTO, CALIF., Feb. 1, 2013 – The Sacramento Kings will celebrate an era of franchise history when the team wears its 1990s-styled retro black and purple uniforms during five home games as part of NBA Hardwood Classics Nights. Sacramento is one of only seven NBA clubs to participate in Classics Nights this season, joining Atlanta, Chicago, Indiana, Miami, Milwaukee and Phoenix.
Immortalized by fan favorites and team legends of yesteryear such as Mitch Richmond, Lionel Simmons, Corliss Williamson and others, the two-toned, checkered-sided alternate jersey worn for the 1996-97 and 1997-98 seasons remains an iconic piece of Sacramento Kings lore.
