Willie has “Revolutionary” Potential

After working with players like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry, NBA trainer Idan Ravin definitely knows a star when he sees one.

Ravin has also been working with some of the younger players, including a few of the incoming rookies of the 2015 NBA Draft.

One of who is Kings big man Willie Cauley-Stein.

Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders recently caught up with Ravin, who exuded praise for the fresh batch of NBA talent.

“They have just been terrific,” told Kennedy regarding the rookies. “It’s a really scary time in their life, going from that sort of cocoon in college to this world of grown men who are all tall, fast, strong, rich and successful with an amazing résumé. It’s a very scary place, but their ability to handle it all has been very impressive. I think they are all going to be terrific.”

Ravin also took the time to single out what he’s seen from the rookies he’s been training, giving a rave report on the potential of Cauley-Stein.

“I think Willie could be revolutionary,” Ravin told Kennedy. “I think Willie’s versatility is extraordinary and I don’t think people even know it yet. I think he’ll eventually be able to shoot it very well, he puts the ball on the floor well and he runs well. He’s incredibly versatile.”

The Kings rookie will get his chance to start turning this praise into reality as the team gears up for training camp next week and the preseason on the horizon.
