Preview: Kings (27-43) at Timberwolves (22-48)

On the end of a back-to-back, Sactown succumbed a late push by the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, falling 109-102.

DeMarcus Cousins recorded an impressive 19-point, 18-rebound double-double while Rudy Gay chipped in an efficient 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

Sacramento now faces a struggling but young and talented Minnesota team, currently sitting at 22-48.

The Timberwolves are coming off a close loss at the hands of the Western Conference-leading Golden State Warriors, 109-104.

Leading the team is reigning Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins, who’s averaging 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and nearly a steal per game. Meanwhile, No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft Karl-Anthony Towns has dominated this season’s Rookie discussions, putting up an impressive 18 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per contest.

The purple and black fell in the first two meetings between the pair this year by scores of 101-91 and 99-95, respectively.
