Preview: Kings (14-19) at Pistons (9-23)

Following a road win in Minnesota on Thursday, the Kings will look for back-to-back wins to close the four-game road trip on Sunday in Detroit. The Kings have lost four-consecutive games against the Pistons and Detroit holds a 131-116 all-time record against the Kings.

Sacramento Cooled by Detroit in Last Meeting:

Although their halftime lead was only three, Sacramento was getting good offensive production from Gay (14 points), Jason Thompson (8 points) and Carl Landry (8 points).

Despite tallying just 14 points in the third, Sacramento remained within striking distance at the end of the period, trailing by only seven points.

A pair of Ryan Hollins free throws cut the Pistons lead to four with two minutes to play in the fourth quarter, but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope silenced the Sleep Train Arena crowd with a three-pointer, extending the visitor’s lead to seven, 86-79. Ultimately Detroit would walk away with the win, 95-90.
