Popovich: Cousins' Play Call The Best

Throughout the course of the 65th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night in Toronto, Eastern and Western Conference head coaches allowed their All-Stars to draw up plays.

Who drew up the most effective strategy according to San Antonio Spurs and Western Conference head coach Gregg Popovich?

DeMarcus Cousins.

“We gave him the clipboard and he said get out of my way, go flat on the baseline and I’m shooting it, and he made the three," said Popovich following the game. "That might be the only one that worked all night long."

Although the play wasn't too intricate, that's pretty great praise from the five-time NBA Champion coach.

Of the players being allowed to call the shots through the course of the game, Popovich concluded, "You can tell how much they love it, and just seeing them interacting with each other and the humor back and forth and everything, it was a great show for the fans.”
