Preview: Kings (21-40) at Hawks (49-13)

After coming up short against the Heat in Miami, the Kings have had a day of rest to gear up for the second half of their road trip.

Tuesday’s foe currently leads the Eastern Conference and has the second best record in the league. Atlanta also became the first team to clinch a playoff spot this season.

DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay have continued to perform well on the road trip, averaging 25.5 points and 7 rebounds and 23 points 10.5 rebounds respectively, but Sacramento will need even more if it want’s to end the three-game losing streak.

  • The Kings look to snap a 12-game losing streak to the East-leading Hawks.
  • Gay has scored 20 or more points in four of the last five.
  • Ray McCallum has scored in double-figures in six of the last eight games.
  • The Hawks have clenched a playoff berth for the eighth-consecutive season, the longest active postseason streak in team history.
