Cauley-Stein Impresses at Summer League

The Sacramento Kings finished Summer League with a bang, coming back from a 27-point deficit for the win against the Miami Heat on Friday.

Cauley-Stein, who played well throughout Summer League even in limited minutes - the big man averaged just over 22 per game - finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in the win.

Following the game, Trill assessed his play and what he'd like to build on for the season, stating, “[I'd like to] get better at the stuff I’m already good at and then building on my offense and expanding on that.”

As the summer circuit closes tonight in Las Vegas, find out how Willie compared to the five players picked before him in the June Draft.

Per 36 Player Statistics - Summer League

Per 36, Willie ranked very highly amongst his peers - averaging the fourth most points, second most rebounds and most blocks.

The outlook should bode well for the high-energy seven-footer - who prides himself on maximum effort - as he continues to work into peak physical condition. Developing his stamina to produce at a high level for longer in games may make him one of the best picks from the 2015 Draft.

"You can see the progression," said Kings assistant coach Vance Walberg following the team's final Summer League game. “Defensively he can change the game and a lot of people don’t think he’s at a great level offensively but I think in time he’s going to do things that will surprise some people.”
