Boogie Leads Kings Past Magic

A strong start combined with stingy defense led Sacramento to its fifth win of the season on Saturday afternoon in Orlando.

After losing their first half lead late in the third quarter, the Kings closed out the period with a 24-4 run, entering the fourth quarter with a 16-point lead.

While the purple and black struggled in the fourth quarter, they held on to their lead thanks to impressive two-man play between Rajon Rondo and DeMarcus Cousins.

  • Omri Casspi recorded his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Marco Belinelli led the team with the highest plus/minus rating of plus-22 .
  • Rondo missed setting a new Sacramento era record of consecutive 10-plus assist games by just one assist.
  • The Kings are now 2-0 without Rudy Gay this season, who missed the game with a strained left shoulder.

Cousins notched his fourth-consecutive 20-point, 10-rebound outing, while Rajon recorded 13 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
