TRAINING CAMP PROFILES: COURTNEY FORTSON

The Clippers added five players prior to training camp, rounding out the roster at 20. Here’s a snapshot of each guy to help you get a little more familiar with them before Wednesday’s open scrimmage at USC’s Galen Center.

Courtney Fortson, G, 5-11/185. The left-handed point guard is a member of the Clippers’ training camp roster for the second consecutive season. Fortson and Marcus Hubbard were the final two cuts by the team last December, but Fortson returned on a 10-day contract in January when Chris Paul was sidelined with a hamstring injury, playing 11.5 minutes per game in four apperances.

He finished the season with the Rockets, averaging 3.5 points and 1.0 assists 10 games between Los Angeles and Houston.

Fortson played two seasons at the University of Arkansas, recording the second triple-double in school history in 2008. After going undrafted in 2010, he has spent time playing in Romania and the NBA Development League in addition to his two NBA stints last season.
