ESPN E:60’S Bill Simmons Takes Part in Clippers Dodge Half Court Challenge

At the end of the third quarter of the Clippers vs. Milwaukee Bucks game on Tuesday, Dec. 4th, ESPN’s Bill Simmons participated in the Clippers Dodge Half Court Challenge as part of the ESPN television show E:60.

Widely known as the popular columnist, “The Sports Guy” on ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine as well as the author of the book Now I Can Die In Peace, Clippers season ticket holder Simmons shot from half court on behalf of a randomly selected Clippers fan for a chance to win a brand new 2008 Dodge Nitro in the always crowd pleasing Dodge Half Court Challenge.

E:60 is ESPN’s first multi-subject, prime-time newsmagazine program offering a combination of investigative features, profiles of intriguing sports personalities, and cutting-edge stories on innovation in the sports world, including emerging sports and new technology. The series focuses on life stories that relate or have a basis in sports, melding its stories with a glimpse of the reporters’ experiences – discussing the story idea with producers, creating storylines and shooting the interviews. The show is produced and aired in high definition, a first for the newsmagazine genre. By turning the camera on the reporters, the program gives the viewer a unique behind-the-scenes look at television storytelling.

The 2008 Dodge Nitro is a sport-utility vehicle whose bold and aggressive styling matches its dynamic performance. The Dodge Nitro offers many features that are not typical of a mid-size SUV, such as two V-6 engines, 20-inch tires and chrome-clad aluminum wheels and a performance suspension.

Tune in to ESPN on Tuesday, December 11th at 7:00 pm (EST) to see Simmons take the half court shot or visit www.e60.com to watch online.
