Clippers Celebrate Franchise’s 35th Anniversary as Part of NBA Hardwood Classics Nights

Beginning with their home game against the Miami Heat on Monday, December 5th, the Los Angeles Clippers will celebrate Hardwood Classics Night with a series of retro games as part of the NBA Hardwood Classics Nights. In addition to the Clippers, 10 other teams will honor their history by commemorating specific historical events and milestones, the history of basketball in their city, or legendary teams and players by wearing uniforms from each decade of the NBA’s history, as well as having special ceremonies, in-arena entertainment and promotions.

In addition to the team wearing road Buffalo Braves’ warm-ups and uniforms from the 1970-71 season, the 1970’s themed game presentation on Monday night will include the Clippers Spirit and Fan patrol wearing retro uniforms and performing special 1970’s themed routines, an in-arena play list of 70’s music and a drumline performing at halftime while wearing Buffalo Braves gear. The night will also feature a special halftime ceremony honoring former Buffalo Braves player and current Miami Heat Assistant Coach, Bob McAdoo.

The Clippers will again don their retro apparel for six additional games: at Houston on February 22nd, vs. New Orleans on March 1st, vs. Philadelphia on March 17th, at Houston on March 20th, vs. Washington on March 25th and at Seattle on April 14th.
