AGGREGATE MOCK DRAFT

The Clippers will pick No. 28 in the 2014 NBA Draft and in order to get a better idea of who they might choose, or might be available when they are on the clock, we compiled 13 of the most well-known mock drafts to create a consensus or aggregate big board. The list includes draft experts such as Chad Ford of ESPN or Joe Kotoch of Sheridan Hoops and NBA writers such as Chris Mannix, Alex Kennedy and Matt Moore.

In order to determine who gets selected in a certain position, a value for each player was assigned based on the draft position that was predicted. For example, 10 mocks had Kansas big man Joel Embiid going first overall, while two had him at No. 2 and another had him a No. 3. Therefore, Embiid would receive 17 total "points.” The player with the fewest number of points would be the No. 1 pick, while the player with the 30th most points would be the consensus last selection of the first round.

The Clippers had a number of players projected as the No. 28 pick. The most common player projected was Syracuse forward Jerami Grant, who was named on three separate mock drafts as headed to the Clippers. However, the aggregate numbers suggested they will choose Tennessee forward Jarnell Stokes. Others listed as potentially going to the Clippers at No. 28 were Michigan’s Mitch McGary, Florida’s Patric Young (twice), Missouri’s Jordan Clarkson, Croatian center Jusuf Nurkic (twice) and several others. Most prognosticators suggested the Clippers would choose either a reserve big man or point guard.
