GAME 7: WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

Here is a glimpse at what was being talked about after the Clippers’ shootaround prior to Game 7 on Saturday:

Asked about the team’s energy heading into the game…

Darren Collison: “It’s part of the Playoffs. You’re going to have days like this, good days and bad days physically. For the most part, you’ get to play another game and it’s an important game. You’re trying to win so you can’t really think about all the injuries and nicks and nags. You’ve just got to go out there and play.”

Asked what the Clippers need to do differently in Game 7 compared to Game 6…

J.J. Redick: “I would say that our defense in transition has to be a little better. In a close game like Game 6, which was one point, and we gave up 8 or 10 points that were just gimmies because we didn’t get back in transition. Those were big.”

Asked about having home-court advantage in Game 7…

Jamal Crawford: “It’s everything. I think the fans will be even more energetic. As much as nobody wants to admit it, home-court plays a factor. I think that’s what you play all season for, to get home-court as much as you can. And tonight we’ll have it.”
