2024-25 Kings Dancers Prep Class Series
Sacramento Kings Entertainment is seeking talented, dedicated dancers to join their 2024-25 season. These dancers will perform at home games, represent the Kings both on and off the court, and act as ambassadors for the organization. We’re looking for professional, hard-working, high-energy individuals with great performance quality. Interested dancers are invited to join us at one of our upcoming Prep Classes to learn more about the audition process.
The Prep Class series is specifically designed to prepare aspiring dancers for Sacramento Kings Dance Team Auditions. Each session will include:
- Choreography: Learn team-specific routines and styles. You will learn unique choreography and signature moves of the Kings Dancers.
- Fitness and Conditioning: Warm up and cool down to strengthen your body, improve stamina, and enhance flexibility.
- Performance Skills: Work on stage presence, appeal, and connecting with the audience. Confidence, engagement and charisma matter during auditions.
- Audition Preparation: Prep Classes will include Q&A sessions with head coach Sarah Schneeweis to help dancers understand what the audition process looks like.
- Networking: Interact with other aspiring dancers, share experiences, and build connections within the dance community.
REGISTRATION
Prior to attending the Prep Class, please register using one of the links below. Any walkups at the door will need to fill out the registration and make payment on site. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.

Prep Class 1: Hip Hop
Date: Thursday, May 23

Registration Fee: $35.00
About: Learn choreography and signature moves from the Kings Dancers and work on your hip hop style, skill, technique and tricks. The Prep Class will also include a Q&A session with head coach Sarah Schneeweis and you’ll learn all you need to know about the audition process. Plus, there will be the opportunity to receive a Royal Ticket for an automatic advance to Round 2 at auditions.
Prep Class 2: Heels & Jazz
Date: Thursday, June 20
Time: 6:00-8:00 PM

Registration Fee: $35.00
About: Learn choreography and signature moves from the Kings Dancers and strengthen your skills by learning heels and jazz funk choreo. The Prep Class will also include a Q&A session with head coach Sarah Schneeweis and you’ll learn all you need to know about the audition process. Plus, there will be the opportunity to receive a Royal Ticket for an automatic advance to Round 2 at auditions.
Registration is limited to 75 dancers.
Prep Class 3: Master Class with Dexter Carr – New This Year!
Date: Monday, July 8
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Location: Golden 1 Center: 500 David J Stern Walk | Sacramento, CA 95814
Registration Fee: $50.00
About: This is an event you don’t want to miss! Learn from the one and only Dexter Carr about how to nail an audition and his signature moves that make him one of the most sought-after choreographers in the industry. As part of this session, you’ll also have the opportunity to get professional footage of you dancing on the Golden 1 Center court! Plus, there will be the opportunity to receive a Royal Ticket for an automatic advance to Round 2 at auditions.
Registration is limited to 150 dancers.

WHAT TO WEAR
We recommend sporty, fit athletic wear that shows your movement. Crop tops suggested, but not required. Please bring non-marking sneakers and Burju (recommended) heels to respective prep classes.
