UNITING TO HELP SMALL BUSINESSES
Franchise Fund is a four-month grant program created by the Golden State Warriors, United Airlines, and the Western Region Minority Supplier Development Council (WRMSDC) aimed to prepare small business owners from underrepresented communities to work with multinational corporations. Graduating businesses will receive the certification they need to get exposure, help their communities, and take advantage of future business opportunities.
READ MORETHE GAME PLAN
The goal of Franchise Fund is to support Bay Area small businesses from underrepresented communities by providing resources to become certified as Corporate Ready to be prepared for corporate demand. The designation will equip these businesses to engage with decision makers on suppliers at larger companies. We identify small businesses specifically in need of such resources.
THE CHALLENGE
Small businesses face gaps and often do not have a competitive advantage in meeting requirements to do business with large corporate partners. Corporate Ready designation generates incremental business exposure and significant revenue generating opportunities.
THE SOLUTION
Through Franchise Fund, the Warriors and United Airlines sponsor 25 small businesses each year to join the WRMSDC’s Corporate Ready Program. Through the program, businesses receive the training and resources necessary to receive the official Corporate Ready designation for their next business opportunity.

Testimonials
“The Franchise Fund has propelled us to the point where our product is actually in the United Club at Chase Center right now, being sold and it’s huge. Have you ever heard of Jamaican patties at a basketball stadium? It’s unheard of, until now. We have the Franchise Fund to thank for that.”
