Report: Bates-Diop joining Spurs on two-way deal

Keita Bates-Diop has agreed to a two-way contact with the San Antonio Spurs, reports Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo! Sports.

The 48th overall pick in the 2018 draft, Bates-Diop began his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves before being traded to the Denver Nuggets at last season’s trade deadline.  He averaged 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in 44 games last season.

Report: Raptors reach 2-year deal with Bembry

The Toronto Raptors and swingman DeAndre’ Bembry have agreed on a two-year, $4 million deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Bembry was the No. 21 pick in the 2016 draft and has spent the last four seasons in Atlanta. Limited to 43 games last season due to a groin injury, Bembry averaged 5.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

Report: Gasol agrees to 2-year deal with Lakers

Marc Gasol is finalizing a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe of ESPN.

The Lakers reportedly traded JaVale McGee to the Cavaliers to make room for Gasol.

Wojnarowski also reports Cleveland is trading Jordan Bell and Alfonzo McKinnie to the Lakers in the Gasol deal.

Gasol was originally drafted by the Lakers in 2007, but chose to remain in Spain before his rights were dealt to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a deal for his brother Pau.

Report: Boucher, Raptors reach new deal

The Toronto Raptors have agreed to bring back Chris Boucher on a two-year, $13.5 million deal, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Boucher, who grew up in Canada, emerged as an effective rim-protector in limited minutes last season off the bench, averaging one block per game along with 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds.

Report: Raptors, Baynes agree on 2-year deal

The Toronto Raptors have reached an agreement to sign center Aron Baynes to a two-year, $14.3 million contract, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Baynes averaged 11.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists last season for the Phoenix Suns — all career bests — playing 42 games and starting 28.

Report: Austin Rivers reaches deal with Knicks

Austin Rivers has agreed to join the New York Knicks on a three-year deal, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Rivers played in 68 games for Houston last season and averaged 8.8 points and 1.7 assists and shot 35.6 percent from 3-point range.

Doc Rivers, Austin’s father and current Philadelphia 76ers head coach, played for the Knicks for three seasons from 1992-95.

Reports: Wolves re-sign Juancho Hernangomez

The Minnesota Timberwovles have agreed to a three-year, $21-million deal with restricted free agent Juancho Hernangomez, according to reports from Shams Charania and Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

The 24-year-old big man averaged 12.9 points and 7.3 rebounds over 14 games with Minnesota last season. He was acquired in a mid-season trade with the Denver Nuggets, who drafted him 15th overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Report: Tatum signs extension with Celtics

Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum has agreed to a five-year, $195 million designated rookie max extension, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Tatum was a first-time All-Star this season, averaging 23.4 points on 45% shooting (40% on 3s) while grabbing 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

Report: 76ers trade Smith to Pistons

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to trade guard Zhaire Smith to the Detroit Pistons for center Tony Bradley, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Smith has played only 13 games during the first two seasons of his career due to injuries. He was selected with the 16th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Bradley was acquired by the Pistons from the Utah Jazz in a trade on Draft night. The 22-year-old big man posted averaged of 4.9 points and 4.6 rebounds over 58 games with Utah last season.

The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a one-year, $2.4-million deal with guard E’Twaun Moore, according to a report from Marc Stein of The New York Times.

Moore has been on the Pelicans since 2016. He averaged 8.3 points and 2.3 rebounds over 56 games last season.

Free agent center Willy Hernangomez has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The 25-year-old center averaged 6.1 points and 4.3 rebounds over 31 games with the Hornets last season. He was drafted with the 35th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

The 25-year-old guard was solid off the bench for the Bucks last season with averages of 5.1 points and 3.5 rebounds over 52 games.

The deal, which reportedly includes a team option for the second season, is worth $8.2 million. Cauley-Stein averaged 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds over 13 games with the Mavericks last season. The sixth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft was traded to Dallas from Golden State mid-season.

Reports: Hawks submit offer sheet for Bogdanovic

The Atlanta Hawks have submitted a signed offer sheet to the Sacramento Kings for restricted free agent Bogdan Bogdanovic, according to a report from Sam Amick of The Athletic.

According to Chris Kirschner of The Athletic and Marc Stein of The New York Times, the offer is a four-year deal worth $72 million. The Kings have 48 hours to match the Hawks’ offer.

Report: Bazemore returns to Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have agreed to a deal with free agent forward Kent Bazemore, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The reported one-year deal will bring Bazemore back to Golden State, where he began his NBA career. The eight-year NBA veteran should receive significant playing time on the Warriors now that Klay Thompson will miss the entire 2020-21 season due to injury.

Report: Jazz, Mitchell agree to max extension

 

The Utah Jazz have agreed to a 5-year, $195-million rookie max extension with guard Donovan Mitchell, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 23-year-old All-Star has developed into a star during his three seasons in the league. He posted career-high averages of 24.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists over 69 games last season.

Report: Bucks add forward Craig

The Milwaukee Bucks continue to bolster their depth with the reported addition of Torrey Craig, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 6-foot-7 forward was solid for the Denver Nuggets last season with averages of 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds over 18.5 minutes per game. Craig will join a Bucks team that has reportedly agreed to deals with Bobby Portis, DJ Augustin, Brynn Forbes and Pat Connaughton.

Report: Trail Blazers sign Giles

The Portland Trail Blazers have added forward Harry Giles on a one-year deal, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Giles was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 20th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. The 22 year old has struggled to stay on the floor due to knee problems. He played 46 games last season with averages of 6.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14.5 minutes.

Report: Bucks add Forbes on 2-year deal

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a deal with guard Bryn Forbes, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 27 year old played the first four seasons of his career with the San Antonio Spurs. He averaged 11.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 63 games last season. He should have plenty of opportunity off the bench for Milwaukee after the reported departures of guards Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and Wesley Matthews this offseason.

According to Wojnarowski, Forbes will have a player option in the second year of the deal.

Report: Sampson returns to Pacers

Free agent forward JaKarr Sampson plans to return to the Indiana Pacers on a 1-year deal, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Sampson averaged 4.6 points and 2.6 rebounds over 34 games with Indiana last season. The 27 year old, who was signed by the Sixers as an undrafted rookie in 2014, has played for five teams during his NBA career.
