Bulls' Ayo Dosunmu, Rockets' Tari Eason named injury replacements for 2023 Jordan Rising Stars

Houston guard Jalen Green and Detroit center Jalen Duren will not participate due to injuries.

Houston rookie Tari Eason is averaging 8.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 19.4 minutes in 57 games this season.

SALT LAKE CITY – Chicago Bulls second-year guard Ayo Dosunmu will replace injured Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green (left groin strain) on Team Deron and Rockets rookie forward Tari Eason will replace Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (right ankle sprain) on Team Joakim in the 2023 Jordan Rising Stars, which will be played on Friday, Feb. 17 at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City.  The annual showcase of premier young talent at NBA All-Star will air live at 9 p.m. ET on TNT and ESPN Radio.

Dosunmu is averaging 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 28.3 minutes in 56 games this season. He has scored in double figures 25 times. Last season, he was named to the 2021-22 Kia NBA All-Rookie Second Team and participated in the 2022 Rising Stars Game. Dosunmu was selected by the Bulls with the 38th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft presented by State Farm.

Eason is averaging 8.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 19.4 minutes in 57 games this season. He ranks second among rookies in steals (1.1 spg) and ninth in the NBA in steal-to-turnover ratio (1.00).  Eason was selected by the Rockets with the 17th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft presented by State Farm.
