Bucks are departing for Miami for Games 3 and 4

MILWAUKEE (April 20, 2023)&nbsp;– The Milwaukee Bucks will depart for Miami for Games 3 and 4 of their First Round series on Friday, April 21. Fans are encouraged to send the team off at Signature Flight Support Airport (923 E. Layton Ave., Milwaukee) at 2 p.m.&nbsp;

Members of the Bucks Entertainment Network will be in attendance and there will be BMO Cheer signs designed by Milwaukee Public Schools students. Fans and media are asked to stay on the sidewalk at the designated rally location and park north of E. Layton Ave. on S. Pine St., on S. Lenox St., or on S. Logan Ave.&nbsp;

Two Milwaukee high school seniors attending HBCUs this fall awarded $10,000 scholarships&nbsp;

MILWAUKEE (Jan. 20, 2023)&nbsp;– For the second consecutive year, the Milwaukee Bucks will host HBCU Night presented by Johnson Controls on Tuesday, Jan. 31 when the Bucks take on the Charlotte Hornets at Fiserv Forum. Honoring and celebrating historically black colleges and universities, HBCU Night will feature a special ticket package offer, an HBCU Night t-shirt, a pregame networking event for HBCU alumni and Divine 9 members and an HBCU college fair.

To tipoff HBCU Night celebrations, the Bucks and Johnson Controls partnered to grant two $10,000 scholarships to Milwaukee high school seniors who plan on attending an HBCU in the fall. After more than 100 nominations were submitted – more than three times the number of nominations received last year – Terynn Erby-Walker, a senior at Golda Meir School in Milwaukee, and Russell Morgan Jr., a senior at Milwaukee Rufus King International High School, were selected to receive the scholarships. Each student was presented with their scholarship during a surprise presentation at their school earlier this month. Video of those presentations can be seen&nbsp;here. The two students will also be spotlighted during HBCU Night at Fiserv Forum on Jan. 31.

The HBCU Night ticket package, which includes a ticket to that night’s game against the Hornets, the HBCU Night t-shirt below and access to a pregame HBCU networking event at GATHER in Deer District, is available now and can be purchased&nbsp;here. The HBCU Night t-shirt was designed by N.C. AT&T student Janiya Barcliff as part of a nation-wide competition. The pregame networking event will take place from 5-7 p.m. that night at GATHER and will feature guest speakers and HBCU alumni from the Bucks, Johnson Controls, Marquette University and United Way Diversity Leadership Society.

The Bucks and Johnson Controls will host an HBCU College Fair at Fiserv Forum with&nbsp;HYFIN&nbsp;during HBCU Night where prospective students will have the opportunity to connect with several HBCU recruiters and admissions representatives from across the country to learn more about their specific school culture, admissions process and resources. The HBCU College Fair will be held on the upper concourse of Fiserv Forum throughout the game and is scheduled to include representatives from Alabama A&M University, Central State University, Fisk University, Lane College, Morehouse College, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Paul Quinn College, Rust College, Talladega College, West Virginia State University and Southern University.

Further HBCU Night celebrations will include the national anthem performed by HBCU alum Alesia Miller (Spelman College), a halftime strolling showcase featuring members of the Divine 9 and video spotlights throughout the game showcasing the Bucks and Johnson Controls’ connections to HBCUs.

Four community groups to receive donated gift cards for food

MILWAUKEE (Jan. 17, 2023) – The Milwaukee Bucks and Pick ‘n Save have teamed up to donate $50,000 worth of food to local Milwaukee organizations in support of Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Bucks and Pick ‘n Save have partnered for this initiative. 

The four organizations to receive donations include Capuchin Community Services, BLACC Health Fair, Teens Grow Greens and local domestic violence and homeless centers.

In lieu of in-kind non-perishable food products, the Bucks and Pick ‘n Save are distributing the $50,000 in the form of Pick ‘n Save gift cards to help alleviate immediate food insecurity and access needs in the community. Throughout the season, the Bucks and Pick ‘n Save will donate to four different organizations to help alleviate hunger and access to food in our community.

The Bucks and Pick ‘n Save will host a press conference and meal distribution&nbsp;at St. Ben’s Community Meal (930 W. State St., Milwaukee) on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 5 to 6 p.m. Bucks guard AJ Green, Bucks Senior Vice President Alex Lasry, Pick ‘n Save Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs James Hyland and Fr. “The Bucks are deeply committed to positively impacting the community and through our partnership with Pick ‘n Save, we can further support those who are experiencing food insecurity,” said Alex Lasry. “We hope these gift cards provide the recipients with relief, support and access to food.”

The Bucks will tip off the giving on Wednesday by awarding gift cards to Bucks community partner Capuchin Community Services. The gift cards will help provide access to food, including fresh items, for people experiencing homelessness, poverty and difficult circumstances. Green will be in attendance to volunteer with the meal serving program along with Bucks and Pick ‘n Save staff.

The other community groups in the Milwaukee area, listed below, will receive Pick ‘n Save gift cards throughout the season as part of the Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative.&nbsp;

BLACC Health Fair:&nbsp;Black Leaders & Advocates Creating Change (BLACC) holds a Health Fair to educate minorities about 360 health (financial, physical, and mental) by connecting people with health professionals to provide insight on financial and mental health tips. Gift cards will support families in need of groceries.

Domestic Violence and Homeless Centers:&nbsp;Three shelters located across Wisconsin that aim to support all those impacted by domestic abuse and homelessness, Sojourner Family Peace Center, The Women’s Center and Hope House, will receive donations. These organizations provide safety, resources, shelter and ensure brighter futures for many families in the community. Gift cards will support those impacted by domestic violence and homelessness receiving services from the programs. Teens Grow Greens:&nbsp;Teens Grow Greens aims to develop teens through transformative experiences that promote belonging, life skills and connections to opportunities that grow leadership. Gift cards will support the youth involved in this program.

In addition to the gift cards, the Bucks and Pick ‘n Save will support these organizations through additional programming including nutrition education, additional food donations and job opportunities.

MILWAUKEE (Oct. 28, 2022)&nbsp;– NBA 2K League Champions Bucks Gaming will host two sessions of youth camps on Nov. 6 and Dec. 10. The camps will play NBA 2K23 and be led by Bucks Gaming head coach Lance Sessions and point guard Michael “Cooks” Campbell.

The first session on Sunday, Nov. 6 has six available spots for youth ages 15 to 18. The second session on Saturday, Dec. 10 has six available spots for youth ages 12 to 15. Registration for both sessions closes six days prior to the camp date.&nbsp;

Each session is an all-day interpersonal experience, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at a professional gaming facility using top-of-the-line equipment. Lunch will be provided.&nbsp;

The camps provide an opportunity to learn from the NBA 2K League Championship-winning head coach and point guard and play the newest NBA 2K game alongside professionals.&nbsp;

NBA 2K League Champions Bucks Gaming To Hold Youth Camps Led By Head Coach Lance Sessions And Point Guard Michael “Cooks” Campbell

The Milwaukee Bucks are inviting singers and musicians of all genres to audition for the opportunity to perform the national anthem at Bucks home games during the 2022-23 season. Open call auditions will be held in the Fiserv Forum atrium on Wednesday, Oct. 5, during three different time slots: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Candidates will register on-site for the national anthem auditions and will audition in the order in which they arrive. Performers are only required to audition during one session.&nbsp;

Auditions are open to singers and musicians of all ages, however, individuals under the age of 18 will need permission from a legal guardian. Those auditioning must perform the national anthem in its entirety to be considered. The Canadian national anthem can also be performed.

Bucks Gaming defeated Wizards District Gaming 3-1 to win $500,000 prize

Bucks Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, won its first NBA 2K League Championship on Saturday by defeating Wizards District Gaming in the NBA 2K League Finals at the Pavilion at Pan Am in Indianapolis. Led by Finals MVP Dimez, Bucks Gaming won the best-of-five series, 3-1, to claim the title and bring home the $500,000 prize. 

“Our organization is thrilled to win our first NBA 2K League Championship,” said Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin. “A tremendous team was assembled by our general manager Patrick Glogovsky and coached to perfection by Head Coach Lance Sessions.&nbsp; The players demonstrated that they are true champions and we are so proud of their success.”

“We’re so excited to bring this championship home to Milwaukee and our fans,” Dimez said. “Each player on our team played a critical role in this victory and we’re elated to make history for Bucks Gaming. We’re grateful to the Bucks organization and the staff which helped make this possible.”

In its second playoff appearance in team history, Bucks Gaming advanced to the championship by knocking off T-Wolves Gaming 2-1 on Friday night in the Western Conference Finals. Bucks Gaming also defeated Mavs Gaming (2-0) and Warriors Gaming Squad (2-1) on Wednesday and Thursday.&nbsp;

Bucks Gaming Wins First NBA 2k League Championship

Purple is back as the Milwaukee Bucks have unveiled new “Light It Up” Classic Edition uniforms for the 2022-23 season, featuring the iconic purple and green from the team’s road uniforms that were worn during the 1990s and early 2000s. Images and video of the Bucks’ new Classic Edition uniforms can be seen here.

Honoring the dawn of the franchise’s Big 3 era, the Bucks’ “Light It Up” Classic Edition uniform is a replica of the team’s road uniforms that were worn between 1993 and 2002 and became synonymous with Ray Allen, Sam Cassell and Glenn Robinson. In addition to the purple base color, the uniforms also feature the team’s logo from that era on the shorts and the silver “BUCKS” wordmark across the chest with green and white trim around the whole uniform.

The new “Light It Up” Classic Edition uniforms will join the Bucks rotation of their Association (white), Icon (green) and recently unveiled Statement (black) uniforms to be worn during the 2022-23 season. The team will also wear a new City Edition uniform this season, which will be unveiled later this year.
