The Wizards came back from down 15 points in the fourth quarter, on the strength of a 21-4 run, to force OT, but Al Horford hit a baseline jumper at the buzzer in the extra session to give the Hawks a 101-99 win. The Wizards held a two point lead with five seconds to go in regulation but it was that guy Horford who saved the day for Atlanta, going hard to the hoop, getting fouled and hitting both free throws to force OT. Horford had 34 points in the game. Trevor Booker had one of the best games of his career, going for 24 points and 14 boards.

Key Moment

The Wizards got the ball down two with 12 seconds to go in overtime. Wall drove hard to the rack and dished to Booker who finished with just under two seconds to play to tie the game. On the ensuing Hawks possession, Antic threw a lob inbound pass to Horford on the baseline and Horford drained the jumper at the buzzer to give the Hawks the win.

Player of the Game

While Booker had his best night of the year, this game was all about Al Horford. He was simply dominant for most of the night. He saved Atlanta by hitting a pair of free throws to force OT and then hit the game winner in overtime. The Atlanta big man finished with 34 points on 15/23 shooting and 15 rebounds.

Key Number

7. The Wizards have lost three games in a row, by a combined seven points. Two of the losses were in OT.

Unsung Hero

Otto Porter gets this honor tonight for his first two NBA baskets, both midrange jumpers. Porter finished with four points, four boards (two of them offensive) and was a +3, the best +/- on the team.
