The Pacific division leading Clippers were too much for the Wizards on Saturday night at Verizon Center, winning 113-97. The Wizards shot the ball well at 49.4%, but the Clippers were at 56.5%. Chris Paul and John Wall dueled all night as both had double-doubles. Paul went for 38 points and 12 assists and Wall had 24 points and 12 assists. All five Clippers starters finished with at least 15 points. Kevin Seraphin came off the bench for a season high 16 points for Washington.

The Wizards closed the third quarter on a 9-1 run, cutting a once 20 point lead to 12. The Wizards entered the fourth with the momentum, but the Clippers turned it on once the fourth started and never allowed the Wizards to get closer than that.

Player of the Game

Chris Paul stole the show in this one, finishing with 38 points on 11/14 shooting, including 5/7 from three point range and 11/11 from the free throw line. He added 12 assists and 3 steals over his 33 minutes of work.

Key Number

26-14. The Wizards actually scored one more bucket than the Clippers tonight, but the Clippers had 12 more points from the free throw line, outscoring the Wizards 26-14 from the stripe.

Unsung Hero

Kevin Seraphin was very impressive off the bench, in getting his first extended playing time in a number of games. He had 16 points on 7/12 shooting, all of it coming in the second half.
