The Pacers showed off their #1 D in the NBA tonight, holding the Wizards to just 73 points and only 40% shooting from the field, as the Pacers got the 93-73 victory. The Wizards were even further short handed tonight, playing without the services of Nene. The Pacers defense suffocated the Wizards all night, as it was the Wizards lowest scoring night of the year and the fifth time this year the Pacers have held an opponent under 80 points. They were led by Paul George who was his usual impressive self, scoring 23 points to go along with four rebounds, four assists and four steals. The Wizards got a nice performance from Marcin Gortat who posted his seventh double-double of the year, with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Key Moment

The Wizards were down by just seven at the half, after playing an excellent second quarter. The Pacers though opened the third quarter on a 14-6 run, led by Paul George and Roy Hibbert, and the Wizards would never get within single digits again.

Player of the Game

Paul George did it all for the Pacers tonight, playing exceptional defense, showcased by his four steals, as well as scoring 23 points on better than 50% shooting from the field.

0. The Wizards, one of the best teams at scoring in transition in the league, did not manage a single transition bucket on the night.

Unsung Hero

Trevor Booker got his first extended run in a little while and provided some good energy, scoring four points, grabbing eight rebounds and adding three assists.
