The Wizards look to pick up their first win of the season on Wednesday night in Dallas as they take on the Mavericks at American Airlines Center (8:30 pm | TV: CSN | Radio: 106.7 FM, 1500 AM).
The Wizards are coming off a season-low 76 point effort on Tuesday night and will look to rebound with a better offensive performance tonight in Dallas.
Similar to the Wizards, the Mavs are also missing some key players as Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion are out with injuries and they will rely on some of their free-agent acquisitions. Darren Collison, O.J. Mayo and Elton Brand were picked up via free agency and all will play key roles in tonight's game.
For the Wizards to be successful, they will need to slow down the Mavericks offense, as they average over 100 points a game. If the Wizards can play the game at their pace and keep the Mavs from finding their rhythm, they can pull off the upset and grab their first W of the year.
The action kicks off at 8:30 pm on CSN or listen live on 106.7 FM/1500 AM.

Bradley Beal is coming off a tough shooting night in Charlotte, but the Wizards leading scorer will need to bounce back and give the team an offensive lift tonight in Dallas. Opposite him will be one of the great young scorers in the league today in O.J. Mayo. Playing his first year in Dallas, he is averaging 21.4 ppg through the Mavs first eight games and is looked at as their go-to scorer.
Tonight will be a good matchup for the rookie on the defensive end and limiting Mayo's offense will be one of the keys to the Wizards winning in Dallas.
In the below clip from last season, Bradley Beal shows his range knocking down a three in Indiana.
In this clip, O.J. Mayo creates his own shot by breaking down the defender off the dribble.
