Shawndarius Cowart led all scorers with 18 points, three rebounds and four assists for Grambling University, while Carte'are Gordon (14 points, seven rebounds, three blocks) and Jourdan Smith (14 points, nine rebounds) added a combined 28 points in the victory. Brion Whitley tallied 13 points and four rebounds for Southern University in the losing effort.
