Dallas Mavericks guard Josh Richardson is a co-winner of the January NBA Cares Community Assist Award presented by Kaiser Permanente in recognition of his efforts to immediately provide support for those impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Richardson, who joined the Mavericks shortly before the start of the 2020-21 season, quickly sought to make an impact in the greater Dallas area, surprising dozens of frontline health care workers from UT Southwestern Medical Center and continuing his long-standing relationship with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).
