Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has been named to the 2023-24 All-NBA Third Team, the league announced today. The honor marks a franchise-record 10th All-NBA Team selection (First Team four times, Second Team four times and Third Team twice) for Curry, who becomes the 26th player in NBA history to earn double-digit All-NBA honors.

In his franchise-record 15th season with the Warriors, Curry posted averages of 26.4 points, 5.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 32.7 minutes in 74 games (all starts), earning his 10th career NBA All-Star nod. Curry was named the 2023-24 Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year after leading the league in points (189), 3-pointers (32) and field goals made (59) in clutch minutes (games within five points with fewer than five minutes remaining). The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player led the NBA in 3-point field goals for the eighth time in his career with 357 threes—the third most in a single-season in NBA history, hitting 40.8% from behind-the-arc. He finished second in the league in free throw percentage behind teammate Klay Thompson, hitting 92.3% from the line.

Curry, 36, has earned All-NBA accolades in 10 of the last 11 seasons, excluding only the 2019-20 campaign in which he missed the majority of the season due to a left hand fracture. During that span, the Warriors have won four NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022) and made six NBA Finals appearances (2015-19, 2022).

Warriors' guard Brandin Podziemski was named to the NBA's All-Rookie First Team for the 2023-24 season, the league announced on Monday. Podziemski averaged 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists, becoming the first Warriors rookie since Chris Webber (1993-94) to record at least 600 points, 400 rebounds and 200 assists in a season. He led the team in total rebounds (427) and plus-minus (+264) while leading the league in drawn charges (38).

Podziemski proved&nbsp;to be&nbsp;an all-around threat on both ends of the court as a rookie. His competitive nature,&nbsp;natural&nbsp;instincts&nbsp;and&nbsp;versatile talent were on full display and caught the attention of Splash Brother teammates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Among all rookies he ranked third in 3-point field goal percentage (38.5), fifth in assists (3.7), sixth in rebounds (5.8), eighth in minutes (26.6) and 10th&nbsp;in both scoring (9.2) and steals (0.8).

The 6-4 guard recorded 17 games of at least 10 points, five rebounds and five assists, the second-most such games among all rookies, trailing only San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama (23). His 38 charges drawn led the NBA. Podziemski paced Golden State with 427 total rebounds (the most by a Warriors rookie since Joe Smith grabbed a team-high 717 boards during the 1995-96 season) and plus/minus with a plus-264, the second-highest mark among all rookies (Chet Holmgren, plus-423). Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has won the 2023-24 Magic Johnson Award, which honors the NBA player who best combines excellence on the court with cooperation and grace in dealing with the media and fans, the Professional Basketball Writers Association announced today. Curry, who also won the award in 2016, is just the third two-time honoree, joining Damian Lillard (2017, 2020) and Shane Battier (2007,2013).

Curry averaged 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season, leading the Warriors to a 46-36 record. Off the court, Curry consistently fostered an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness with reporters who cover the NBA.

Curry was one of five finalists for the award, based on nominations from PBWA members. The others were Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat, DeMar DeRozan of the Chicago Bulls, Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers. A vote of the full PBWA membership determined the winner.

The award, created in 2001, is named in honor of Earvin “Magic” Johnson, the former Los Angeles Lakers star, who was consistently engaging, thoughtful and gracious with the media throughout his Hall of Fame career. Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr has won the 2023-24 Rudy Tomjanovich Award, which honors an NBA coach for his cooperation with the media and fans, as well as his excellence on the court, the Professional Basketball Writers Association announced today. Kerr is the Tomjanovich Award's first three-time honoree, having previously won in 2015 and 2018.

This season, Kerr guided the Warriors to a 46-36 record and handled every situation with patience and grace. Kerr is consistently thoughtful and engaging with the media, and generous with his time.

Kerr was one of five finalists for the Tomjanovich award, based on nominations from PBWA members. The others were Chris Finch of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Darvin Ham of the Los Angeles Lakers, Michael Malone of the Denver Nuggets and Jamahl Mosley of the Orlando Magic. A vote of the full PBWA membership determined the winner.

The award is named for Hall of Famer Rudy Tomjanovich, the former coach of the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, who always was professional and respectful while dealing with the media. During his 13 seasons as an NBA head coach, Tomjanovich compiled a 527-416 regular-season record and a 51-39 postseason record. His Rockets won back-to-back NBA titles in 1994 and 1995.
