'Steph Curry Show' Joins Paramore at Chase Center

Curry Performs Hit Song 'Misery Business' Alongside Paramore

Used to performing in the Chase Center spotlight, nine-time All-Star Stephen Curry made a surprise on-stage appearance with the rock band Paramore on Monday night. Curry and his wife Ayesha took their date night to Chase Center and the two-time NBA MVP performed with the band they listened to on one of their first dates.

"We listened to Paramore on one of our first dates and many years later, they were kind enough to perform at his (Curry) 30th (birthday)," Ayesha Curry said via her Instagram story. "What a full circle moment. Thank you, Paramore, one of the coolest nights."

Paramore is a Grammy Award winning rock band formed in 2004 in Franklin, Tennessee. The band is led by vocalist Hayley Williams, drummer Zac Farro and guitarist Taylor York.

Before handing Curry the microphone, Hayley Williams told the crowd it was his time to shine.

"From the moment Steph gets the mic, this is no longer a Paramore show, this is a Steph Curry show," Williams said.

While on stage, Curry sang the 2008 Billboard Top 100 song 'Misery Business.'

"I watched his wildest dreams come true, not one of them involving you," Curry sang.

Curry was electric in his performance, exciting the crowd, commanding the stage and even showing off some dance moves as confetti rained down.

Chase Center will be the place to be this month with Drake and 21 Savage concerts on Aug. 18 and 19, Cirque du Soleil performances from Aug. 23-27 and a Sam Smith concert with Jesse Reyez on Aug. 28. As for Curry, he will be gearing up for his 15th NBA season, with the preseason beginning on Oct. 7 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
