Mark Jackson

On Monta Ellis:
“Great overall night. Competed, got it going, was unselfish, read the defense just a great performance by him. I don’t want to minimize it to just scoring 48 points he played a heck of a ballgame – even down to the last look we live that, we live with that.”

On The Second-To-Last Possession For The Warriors:
“David (Lee) caught it and I thought he had a direct line drive to the basket – turned it down. We got a great look out of it so you can’t get upset about that. I trusted him to make the read and got a great look out of it.”

On Defending Kevin Durant's Final Shot:
“We wanted to keep a body on him – we had a foul to give, we didn’t use it – we played good defense. I don’t think he called bank, but he made a tough shot, he made a tough shot. Once again a great player makes a tough shot.”

On The Game's Final Play
“We had shooters - Brandon (Rush) had a look in the corner and the second option would’ve been Steph (Stephen Curry) – we had shooters on the floor. He’s hot and had a great night, but if I was having a good night I would rather have Reggie Miller shoot the basketball from three point land.”

Monta Ellis

On Scoring 48 Points:
“It was just going in for me tonight. Unfortunately we didn’t get the win. Our effort was there, we played them hard the whole game and it just came down to one shot.”

“Hopefully we can continue to play like this to the end of the season.”

David Lee
On Tonight's Game:
“It’s definitely tough. They’re one of the best teams in the league, if not the best. We knew we had to play our best basketball to beat them. We did play our best; it’s just a little frustrating not coming out with the W.”

On Monta Ellis:
“He did an unbelievable job tonight. He shot a good percentage and was aggressive the whole game. That’s what he had to do for us and he did it.”

Stephen Curry
On Fatigue Being A Factor:
“We felt good, just a couple of calls didn’t go our way. They made some big shots. We did everything we could to stay in the game and finish out but it didn’t work out that way. We liked the effort we had, at least the effort we had out there and how aggressive we played. If we continue that, we can be competitive and beat some good teams.”

On Monta Ellis:
“He was outstanding. That’s who he is. He’s a primetime guy who comes in and plays well. He had it rolling early and often, all the way to the last buzzer. That’s what we expect from him. He’s an All-Star in my book.”
