Warriors to Host Manute Bol Bobblehead Night on Tuesday, January 27 Against the Chicago Bulls

First 10,000 Fans At Oracle Arena Will Receive Tallest Bobblehead (10”) In Warriors Franchise History; Kingsford Capital Management To Help Raise Up To $10,000 For The Warriors Community Foundation

The Golden State Warriors announced today that the team will be giving out Manute Bol Bobbleheads to the first 10,000 fans who enter Oracle Arena on Tuesday, January 27 for the team’s game against the Chicago Bulls, courtesy of Kingsford Capital Management. Fans will receive a 10” tall Bobblehead, the largest Bobblehead in Warriors franchise history, to honor Bol, who, at 7-foot-7, was the tallest player in Warriors history.

To celebrate Manute Bol Bobblehead Night, the team will also have a life-size 7’7” Manute Bol Bobblehead on display in Section 112 of the main concourse at Oracle Arena. Fans will be encouraged to take photos with the Bobblehead and share on social media with the hashtag #ManuteBobblehead to help raise money for the Warriors Community Foundation. For every shared image of the life-size Bobblehead, Kingsford Capital Management will donate $1 to the Warriors Community Foundation through the Hoops For Kids program, up to $10,000. The Hoops For Kids program is committed to helping youth in the Bay Area live, learn and play.

Bol played for the Warriors for three seasons (1988-90, 1994-95). In his first season with Golden State in 1988-89, Bol led the league with a team-record 345 blocks while also demonstrating a rare shooting touch for a man his size, converting on 20 three-pointers. The Sudanese star averaged 3.34 blocks per game in his career, the second-best mark in league history, and ranks 15th on the NBA’s all-time blocks list with over 2,000 career rejections. Bol’s son, Chris Bol, will be in attendance at Tuesday night’s game to honor his father, who passed away on June 19, 2010.

The Warriors will host the final Bobblehead Night of the 2014-15 season on Monday, March 23 against the Washington Wizards when the team celebrates Rick Barry Bobblehead Night, courtesy of adidas.
