Off-the-Court Fun at Summer League

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

It's not a secret that Las Vegas has something to offer for anyone who visits, and the Warriors Summer League team is no exception. From the excitement of the last two games being decided in the final seconds, to their previous four-year winning streak of 16 games, the team has been providing endless entertainment on the court. The Vegas fun doesn't end there for the Warriors though, as they have also been enjoying their time off the court as well.

Aaron Craft and Travis Bader of the Warriors summer squad went to Planet Hollywood with the plan to visit with San Antonio Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich. And while they visited with Popovich alright, it wasn’t quite what they expected.

The off-the-court fun continued for Head Coach Steve Kerr, who on Sunday had the chance sit down with the two winners of the Esurance #MyDubsRemix contest. The fans, Spencer Stumby and Garrett Zuiderweg, earned their trip to Las Vegas by submitting an Instagram video that recreated Andre Iguodala’s game-winning shot against the Thunder through a frame-by-frame drawing. Hear from the talented contest winners in the video below.

And yes, while Las Vegas can be a great escape from the day-to-day grind, the real reason the Warriors have descended upon Sin City is to put in work on the court, and maybe find an undiscovered gem or two to round out the roster. The Dubs’ Summer League squad has gone 2-1 in their first three games and will find out their tournament seeding following the conclusion of tonight's Summer League games.
