Run It Back: 20 Fast Facts About Run TMC

Established 1946 | 7-time NBA Champions

Three decades before the Splash Brothers, there was Run TMC trio.

Inspired by the popular rap group Run DMC from the 1980s and 1990s, the trio of Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin were collectively known as Run TMC, and the trio combined to form fast-paced offensive powerhouse under Head Coach Don Nelson in the early 1990s. Despite  playing just two seasons together, the popularity of Run TMC has endured the eras, with the trio remaining franchise fan favorites and inspiring the latest Warriors Classic Edition jersey for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

In an effort to pay homage to the iconic trio, the Warriors launched Run TMC-inspired jerseys, sporting the same look as the team displayed from 1989 to 1996.
