The Unofficial Start to the 2015-16 Season

Warriors Media Day Takes Place on Monday at 1 p.m.

The shortest offseason in Warriors history is about to come to an end, and it’s about time! At 1 p.m. on Monday, all Warriors players and coaches will come together for the first time since the team went their separate ways at the conclusion of the Championship Parade on that picturesque day in Oakland.

The setting for this first official team gathering of the title-defending season will be about a mile away from that joyous celebration on the shores of Lake Merritt – back at team headquarters for Media Day. The occasion will be on the eve of the opening of the team’s 2015 training camp, and the event will serve as the unofficial start of the new season. Before getting down to business and preparing for the season ahead, the team reserves Media Day for photo shoots, the recording of feature and promotional materials for local and national broadcasters and a team-wide media availability that will be aired live on CSN Bay Area.

There will surely be a lot going on, and just like the regular season, the Warriors’ digital channels will be the best destination for “second screen experience.” In addition to watching live press conferences on CSN Bay Area and CSNBayArea.com, all of Dub Nation is encouraged to check out some behind-the-scenes action of the media day fun on the team’s official social networks.

Use the hashtag #GSWMediaDay and ask a player a question on Twitter, or see what different team members say and do as they take over the team’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. If this year is anything like those past, there’s no telling what will happen. We just know that it will be a whole lot of fun, and it all starts at 1 p.m. this Monday, September 28.

2015-16 season … Here. We. Come.
