The Warriors, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente and Playworks, visited Lake Elementary School in San Pablo for a Get Fit Time-Out event to promote the importance of physical activity and healthy eating.

Matt Hurwitz introduced the facilitators for each rotation: Dr. Nailah Thompson, Kaiser Permanente Physician, Allan Frias, Jr. Jam Dance Choreographer, Marta Weinstock, Yoga Instructor, and Jeff Addiego, Senior Director of Youth Basketball at the Golden State Warriors. The event began with remarks from Dr. Nailah Thompson and Matthew Duffy, Superintendent, West Contra County School District.

Golden State Warriors forward James Michael McAdoo interacted with 425 students through an instructional and interactive clinic focusing on activities around physical fitness, healthy living and nutrition. McAdoo and students cycled through four rotations: yoga, dance, basketball and nutrition. McAdoo let students through the Get Fit pledge to encourage them to continue being physically active and make healthy choices.
