With just three games remaining, the Wolves play their last West Coast game of the 2016-17 season against the Lakers.

The Wolves go into the game with a 31-48 record, 13th in the West. The Lakers are 24-55, 14th in the West.

Coming Off Of…

Minnesota is coming off a 120-13 road loss to the Jazz on Friday. Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 32 points and 13 rebounds. Ricky Rubio added 26 points and 12 assists. Andrew Wiggins and Shabazz Muhammad scored 25 and 11 points, respectively.

Los Angeles is coming off a 98-94 home win over the Kings on Friday. Julius Randle led the way with 25 points and six rebounds. Brandon Ingram added 14 points. D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Last Matchup

The Wolves are 2-1 against the Lakers this season. The last game came on March 30 at the Target Center. The Wolves won 119-104 behind a career-high 33 points to go with 10 assists from Rubio. Towns added 32 points and nine rebounds while Wiggins scored 27. Gorgui Dieng had a nice all-around game, finishing with 11 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and three blocks.

Clarkson led the Lakers with 18 points. Tarik Black led the second unit with 15 points and nine rebounds. Russell added 14. Randle had a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double. Both Thomas Robinson and Tyler Ennis scored 12 off the bench. Former Wolves wing Corey Brewer scored 11.

Key Matchup: Karl-Anthony Towns vs. Julius Randle

In his second season, Towns is averaging 24.9 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, both up from his rookie season. He’s also shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from the 3-point line and 83.4 percent from the free-throw line.

In three games against the Lakers, Towns is averaging 26.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

In his third season, Randle is averaging 13.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while shooting a career-high 48.4 percent from the field.

In three games against the Wolves, Randle is averaging 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds.
