Where To Watch: Fox Sports North
Where to Listen 830 WCCO
This will be the team's first game without Corey Brewer or Ronny Turiaf on the roster this season. After Friday night's trade, the Wolves will be a bit shorthanded, but guard Troy Daniels sounds like he'll be available to play on Sunday evening. We'll know more on his status as tip-off approaches.
The two teams faced off twice last season and split the series.
The last game came at the Target Center and the Wolves won 104-91 behind 42 points and 15 rebounds from Kevin Love. Corey Brewer and J.J. Barea added 12 points each, while Ronny Turiaf added 11. Ricky Rubio tied a career-high with 17 assists.
Paul George led Indiana with 35 points and 11 rebounds. George Hill and Lance Stephenson scored 13 and 10 points, respectively.
THIS WEEK’S RESULTS
The Wolves are coming off of a 114-98 road loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday.
Second-year wing Shabazz Muhammad led Minnesota with 26 points, five rebounds and five assists. Chase Budinger led the second unit with 19 points, while Thad Young pitched in 13.
The Pacers battled the Denver Nuggets on the road on Saturday night.
KEY MATCHUP: SHABAZZ MUHAMMAD VS. SOLOMON HILL
To be honest, this has nothing to do with Solomon Hill. It has pretty much everything to do with Muhammad and his play lately. He’s scored 20 or more points in his last three games and his hit double-digits in eight straight games. The former UCLA star is making a strong case for Most Improved Player. Now he’s getting his chance as a starting player in the league. That proves that hard work does indeed pay off.
Pacers: C.J. Watson (illness) is probable. Ian Mahinmi (foot), George Hill (quad) and Paul George (leg) are out.
Wolves: Ricky Rubio (ankle), Kevin Martin (wrist) and Nikola Pekovic (wrist) are out.
Pacers: PG – Watson, SG – Stuckey, SF – Hill, PF – West, C - Hibbert
Wovles: PG – LaVine, SG – Wiggins, SF – Muhammad, PF – Young, C - Dieng
