Timberwolves, Bally Sports North and WCCO Radio Announce 2022-23 Broadcast Schedule

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves, in partnership with Bally Sports North, today announced their television broadcast schedule for the 2022-23 regular season. For the seventh consecutive year, all regular season games will be televised on regional or national television. The network’s broadcast schedule includes 78 regular season games, which will be televised on Bally Sports North and Bally Sports North Extra, will also be streamed on the Bally Sports app and Bally Sports+. WCCO Radio will continue as the team’s flagship radio station, a designation it has held since the 2011-12 NBA season. 

Bally Sports North’s regular season coverage tips off on Wednesday, Oct. 19 for the season opener at Target Center against the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Timberwolves TV broadcasts will feature play-by-play announcer Michael Grady, who enters his inaugural season calling Wolves action, along with veteran color analyst Jim Petersen, who returns for his 25th season. Grady and Petersen will be joined by Katie Storm and Lea B. Olsen sharing sideline reporting duties. Marney Gellner returns as the host of “Wolves Live” before and after every regular-season game featuring analysis from current Minnesota Lynx assistant coach Rebekkah Brunson, Kevin Lynch and Quincy Lewis. 

The Wolves+ podcast will return for its third season and will also air on Bally Sports North. Wolves+ features entertaining discussion with players and how they spend their time off the court, as well as front office executives.  

Alan Horton returns for this 16th season as the Wolves radio play-by-play announcer. Horton teams up once again with studio host Cal Soderquist to produce the 30-minute pre- and post-game shows that are heard across the Timberwolves Radio Network. Additionally, WCCO Radio’s Henry Lake will host “Wolves Warm-Up,” a Timberwolves feature prior to the pre-game show and “Timberwolves Tonight,” a 30-minute show following the post-game show. New this season, Horton will join morning host Vineeta Sawkar twice a week for a segment called “Timberwolves Today” that will feature Timberwolves players, coaches, executives and front office members.  

Returning for the second year in a row is WCCO Radio’s podcast, “Life in the Pack” hosted by Henry Lake. Lake goes behind the scenes and in-depth with players, coaches, and front office members to get a glimpse of their lives ‘in the pack.’ 

Listeners throughout Minnesota are able to tune into every Timberwolves radio broadcasts via five channels: 830 WCCO, sister station 102.9 HD2 (KMNB-HD2), the Audacy app, the 830 WCCO website, and the Timberwolves app. The Timberwolves Radio Network delivers games to more than 25 stations across the upper Midwest. 

The Timberwolves will be featured on 16 nationally televised games this season, including four on TNT (Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Phoenix; Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Denver; Tuesday, Feb. 28 at LA Clippers and Tuesday, Mar. 7 vs. Philadelphia), six on ESPN (Friday, Nov. 4 vs. Milwaukee; Friday, Nov. 11 at Memphis; Wednesday, Dec. 14 at LA Clippers; Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Denver; Sunday, Feb. 26 at Golden State and Wednesday, Mar. 29 at Phoenix) while the remaining six will be on NBATV (Sunday, Oct. 30 at San Antonio; Saturday, Nov. 19 at Philadelphia; Friday, Dec. 23 at Boston; Friday, Jan. 27 at Memphis; Sunday, Mar. 26 at Golden State and Friday, Mar. 31 vs. Los Angeles Lakers). 

Minnesota Timberwolves games on Bally Sports North will also stream live on the Bally Sports app, available on mobile and tablet devices (including iOS and Android), connected devices and ballysports.com when fans authenticate using their pay-TV credentials.
