Preview: Wolves vs. Bulls

The Minnesota Timberwolves (46-35) finish off the regular season hosting the Chicago Bulls (45-36) on Sunday night, where the Timberwolves are expecting their seventh regular season sellout game for Fan Appreciation Night.

Minnesota is fresh off a 127-121 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Guard Anthony Edwards had himself a career-high night dropping 49 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 21 points and 13 rebounds, his 40th double-double of the season.  

The Chicago Bulls are currently on a four-game losing streak after a 133-117 defeat to the Charlotte Hornets. Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 23 points while East All-Star forward DeMar DeRozan scored 17 points in the defeat. Chicago currently sits and is locked in as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference standings. 

Minnesota is locked in as the seventh seed in the Western Conference standings, setting up a play-in matchup for a playoff spot against the Los Angeles Clippers at Target Center on Tuesday, April 12th at 8:30pm.

Wolves: Patrick Beverley (Right Ankle Soreness), and D’Angelo Russell (Non-COVID Illness) are QUESTIONABLE. Karl-Anthony Towns (Rest) is OUT. 

Bulls: Coby White (Left Toe Sprain) is DOUBTFUL. Lonzo Ball (Left Knee Meniscus Tear), Alex Caruso (Left Low Back Contusion), DeMar DeRozan (Rest), Zach LaVine (Left Knee Soreness), Matt Thomas (Right Lower Leg Contusion), and Nikola Vucevic (Rest) are OUT.
