The Game

The good news: The Timberwolves are tipping off preseason on Tuesday night, traveling to Phoenix to take on the Suns.

The bad news: Unfortunately, the game won’t be available on TV or radio. We will, however, provide you highlights on Timberwolves.com, YouTube and all of our social channels when available.

There are plenty of questions for the Wolves, but good questions and the ones you expect to be asked in preseason. What will the rotations look like? How much time will Robert Covington and Karl-Anthony Towns, a duo that had success when they played sparingly together in 2018-19, play in preseason to prep for the season? Will Jarrett Culver's success in training camp roll over to playing against other teams?

Coach Ryan Saunders told us on Monday that he anticipates playing 10-12 players in this game. As far as playing time and who gets those minutes, I wouldn’t look too much into it. The Wolves have five preseason games before the regular season starts on Oct. 23 against the Nets.

As for the Suns, this is a young team that added veteran pieces that Wolves fans are familiar with in Ricky Rubio and Dario Saric this offseason.
