Love, Rubio Purchase 500 Lynx Tickets For Game 2
Minnesota Timberwolves stars Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio have teamed up with the Minnesota Lynx as they host the Atlanta Dream in a pivotal Game 2 of the WNBA Finals presented by Boost Mobile on Tuesday, October 8 (7:00 p.m. tip). In support of the Lynx, Love and Rubio have purchased 500 upper level tickets for Tuesday night’s game and are offering them to fans for free. Beginning this morning (Monday) at 8 a.m., the first 250 fans that call in to 612-673-8400 will have the opportunity to sit in Love and Rubio’s seats for free; limit two per customer.
On the heels of Sunday’s 84-59 win over the Dream, Minnesota is just two wins away from winning its second WNBA title in the past three seasons. Game 2 is on Tuesday at Target Center (7 p.m. tip), while Games 3 (Thursday, October 8, 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2) and 4 (Sunday, October 11, 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2) are at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA. Game 5, if necessary, will be at Target Center on Wednesday, October 16.
After wrapping up the regular season with the league’s best record for the third consecutive season, the Lynx (26-8) became just the third team in league history to string together three consecutive 25+ win seasons (Houston, 1998-00; Los Angeles, 2000-02). Including Sunday’s win, Minnesota owns an overall career 13-2 (.867) record at home in the postseason, the best home winning percentage in league postseason history.
Single-game tickets for the WNBA Finals presented by Boost Mobile begin at just $26 by calling the Lynx at 612-673-8400 or by visiting lynxbasketball.com/lynxtix. Single game ticket prices are subject to market demand.
