Thunder Signs Adams, Oladipo to Multi-Year Contract Extensions
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 31, 2016 – The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed center Steven Adams and guard Victor Oladipo to multi-year contract extensions, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

In three-plus seasons with the Thunder, Adams has appeared in 234 games (170 starts) and averaged 6.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.00 block in 21.7 minutes. The New Zealand native was twice named to the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge as part of All-Star Weekend and through three games this season, Adams is averaging 13.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in 34.9 minutes of action.
Originally selected with the 12th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Adams scored in double figures 25 times last season to go along with six double-doubles on the year. During the Thunder’s run to the 2016 Conference Finals, Adams recorded six double-doubles and averaged 10.1 points and 9.5 rebounds in 22 postseason games.
Currently in his fourth NBA season, Oladipo has appeared in 227 games (170 starts) and posted averages of 15.9 points, 4.0 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.62 steals in 33.2 minutes per game. Originally the second overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Oladipo was acquired by the Thunder from the Orlando Magic this past June.
The Indiana University product was named to the 2013-14 NBA All-Rookie First Team and in three games this season with Oklahoma City, Oladipo is averaging 17.0 points, 2.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.00 steal. Oladipo is one of just three players since 1985-86 to begin his career with three consecutive seasons of 1,100+ points, 110+ steals and 70+ 3-point field goals. The former National Co-Defensive Player of the Year in college was named to the 2016 USA Men’s Select Team this past summer.
