Fantasy News

Showing defensive prowess

Smith was a standout on Miami's Summer League team. He led the entire league in steals and was overall a menace on the defensive end. The Heat have a very strong track record of developing undrafted players in the last few years with Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and Duncan Robinson. The Heat have had a quiet offseason so far, but it is possible they are looking for internal improvements from guys like Smith who went undrafted in 2021.

Joins Heat on two-way deal

Days was picked up by the Spurs as an undrafted free agent ahead of Summer League, where the rookie averaged 13.7 points and 10.0 rebounds over his three appearances in Las Vegas. The Florida native will now have a chance to make Miami's roster for 2022-23, but he could end up spending more time with their G League affiliate depending on how he performs in camp.

Inks two-way deal with Miami

Garrett is back with the Heat on a two-way deal after rejoining the team for Summer League. The 23-year-old was limited to 12 NBA appearances with Miami last season, but he'll look to improve his standing on the roster for 2022-23 now that he's fully recovered from wrist surgery.
