Joining Chicago for camp
Since going undrafted in 2019, Cook has appeared in 45 NBA games between Detroit, Cleveland, Brooklyn and Denver. He's averaged 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.9 minutes for his career. The Bulls are thin at power forward, so he'll have a puncher's chance at making the team.

Signs with Chicago
The Jazz elected to not retain Thomas under his $1.78 million team option during the offseason. Instead, he will join the Bulls for training camp on a non-guaranteed deal. Chicago has completely revamped their roster over the past two seasons, which should allow Thomas an opportunity to seize a role with the organization if he plays well.

Inks two-year deal with Bulls
After revamping the roster and parting ways with both Thaddeus Young and Lauri Markkanen this offseason, the Bulls were in need of depth at forward. In response, they signed both Alize and Stanley Johnson on Monday. Neither player is a proven commodity, but Johnson -- Alize, that is -- showed some encouraging flashes while appearing in 18 games for the Nets last season. In an April 29 win over the Pacers, Johnson went off for 20 points, 21 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 32 minutes of action. While that game was a major outlier, there's some reason to believe Johnson could make an impact in Chicago if he's able to secure a consistent role. Chicago figures to lean heavily on Patrick Williams, Derrick Jones Jr. and DeMar DeRozan, but both Johnsons will compete for bench minutes alongside Troy Brown.
