Suns to Host an “Open Practice,” Brought to you by Northern Arizona University

The Phoenix Suns will host an “Open Practice,” brought to you by Northern Arizona University, at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 12:30 p.m.  The free, fan-friendly event is open to the public and is an opportunity to see the 2019-20 Phoenix Suns in action for the first time as they prepare for the regular season and a matchup with the Sacramento Kings in the Coca-Cola & Fry’s Food Stores Tip Off at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.  Fans attending the event will also have a chance to win several prizes, including player-autographed merchandise.   

Beginning with the 2019-20 NBA season, the Phoenix Suns have transitioned exclusively to mobile ticketing for all guests attending games and events at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Fans can secure free mobile tickets for the Open Practice by visiting Suns.com/OpenPractice2019and will be able to access their tickets exclusively through their smartphones via the Official Suns Mobile App. A dedicated team of “App Advisors” will be onsite at Talking Stick Resort Arena to assist fans with mobile ticketing or any digital support needs.

First-year head coach Monty Williams and his staff will lead Suns players through a variety of drills in preparation for the upcoming season. The event marks the Suns’ return to Talking Stick Resort Arena as a new-look roster including offseason additions Ricky Rubio, Dario Saric and 2019 NBA Draft picks Cam Johnson and Ty Jerome join guard Devin Booker, second-year center Deandre Ayton, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Mikal Bridges to take the court at home for the first time.

Doors open at noon with performances by the Suns Entertainment Teams beginning at 12:30 p.m. followed by the 2019-20 Phoenix Suns taking the court at 1 p.m. Fans attending the Open Practice can enjoy discounted concessions such as $2 hot dogs, popcorn and soda, and a fan festival inside the Casino Arizona Pavilion that will feature a variety of activities and attractions, including an interactive photo booth, face painter and balloon animals.
