The Suns outscored the Kings 70-36 in the second half of the season-opening win. This marked just the third time in Suns history that the team scored 70+ points in any half while allowing fewer than 40 points, and the first time doing so in a second half.

For the game, the Suns forced 27 Kings turnovers and outscored the Kings 35-6 in points off turnovers.

Ayton and Buddy Hield are both natives of The Bahamas. When they first played against one another in 2018-19, it marked the first game in NBA history featuring two players from the Bahamas. Both players donated and raised significant funds for Hurricane Dorian relief in The Bahamas this past summer.

Trevor Ariza and Richaun Holmes were members of the Suns during the 2018-19 season and Kings Assistant Coach Igor Kokoškov was the Suns’ head coach.

The Suns, who lost to the Celtics last night, are 4-0 this season coming off of a loss.

This is the Suns’ longest winning streak on the second night of a back-to-back since 4 straight from Dec. 4-Jan. 8 in the 2013-14 season.
