The Valley Suns Basketball Camps offer the finest one-on-one instruction in a safe, positive atmosphere for both boys and girls, ages 8-17! It’s the perfect camp experience for every hoop-loving kid from beginners looking to learn about the game to advance players needing to hone their skills.

How much does camp cost?

$85

What is the cancellation policy?

Personal checks will NOT be accepted 15 days prior to camp. There will be an administration fee for any cancellations prior to 15 days before camp begins. After that there will be NO REFUNDS!

What does each camper receive?

How do the coaches separate the kids?

Age group separation is done based upon the total number of kids in a specific age group. Some campers may move up an age group based upon skill level, size, or ability to make the numbers work.

Boys and girls between the ages of 8-17

What is the rough daily schedule at camp?

  • Day 1
    • Check-In: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
    • Camp Begins: 9:00 AM
    • Lunch Provided: 12:00 PM
    • Camp Ends: 5:00 PM
  • Day 2
    • Camp Begins: 9:00 AM
    • Lunch Provided: 12:00 PM
    • Award Ceremony: 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM
    • Camp Ends: 4:00 PM

What kind of activities does the camp entail?

Campers will do all drills/station work within their age category. They will receive instruction on offensive and defensive concepts and have guest speakers throughout the camp. The kids spend the majority of their time playing basketball.

How many campers attend the camp?

Space is limited. There are approximately 120 campers at the camp.

Who does the actual coaching?

The coaching staff is made up of former basketball players at high school, collegiate or professional level.

What type of food is served?

Campers are provided with meals on both days of camp. The meals are box lunches with ham or turkey sandwiches along with chips, string cheese and a drink. Campers are welcome to bring their own lunch from home if they would like something else or to accommodate special dietary needs.

How much actual time do the campers spend with the people from the Valley Suns?

We strive to have someone from the Valley Suns organization in attendance at the camp for on hour per day. The goal of the camp, however is to better the camper’s skill, not simply to get an autograph from Valley Suns celebrities.

Can parents attend camp?

Parents or family members are welcome to be in the gym at any time to watch camp.

How are Injuries handled?

A camp trainer will be on location for the duration of camp. Minor injuries will be treated and parents will be informed. Any other injuries that are not an emergency, parents will be called and included in any treatment decisions.

What should my child bring to camp?

All campers should be ready to play and dressed in basketball attire (athletic shorts, socks, basketball shoes). Caps/hats should not be worn to camp. Please take off all jewelry and leave it at home. Campers will be given a reversible jersey at check-in that they need for every day at camp.

Basketballs will be available at camp. Please DO NOT bring personal basketballs from home.

Should my child bring their reversible jersey every day?

Yes! Your camper MUST have their jersey every day or they will not be able to participate in games.
