Fantasy News

Ja Morant

Absent from shootaround Morant's absence from shootaround bodes poorly for his status while he deals with an illness. If the superstar is sidelined, Scotty Pippen and Luke Kennard should receive an uptick in playing time.

Brandin Podziemski

Goes for 10 points in return After missing the Warriors' last 12 games due to a right abdominal injury, Podziemski received the green light to return and was one of five bench players to log at least 19 minutes in the win. The Warriors have started Buddy Hield at shooting guard in the past two games, but he provided just three points on 1-for-7 shooting from the field in his 19 minutes and could be phased out to some degree if Golden State wanted to open up more playing time for Podziemski. Before that comes to fruition, however, Podziemski will likely need to show that he can be a more consistent perimeter threat while playing alongside Stephen Curry. Even after the 2-for-4 showing from downtown Thursday, Podziemski is connecting on just 30.3 percent of his three-point attempts for the season.

Domantas Sabonis

Sniffs triple-double in defeat The big man nearly secured his sixth triple-double of the 2024-25 campaign, finishing as the club's second-leading scorer behind DeMar DeRozan (24 points). Sabonis has logged 21 straight games with double-digit points and boards, and he continues to stuff the stat sheet at an efficient rate. Over 11 outings in January, the star center has averaged 21.5 points, 16.7 rebounds and 6.6 assists while shooting 62.0 percent from the floor in 37.8 minutes per contest.

Quinten Post

Drills five triples in blowout win A second-round draft pick from Boston College who has spent most of the season in the G League as one of the Warriors' two-way players, Post has emerged as a key bench piece in Golden State's last three contests. Though his prior two appearances came in the final 14 minutes of a 40-point loss to the Celtics on Monday and during a loss to the Kings on Wednesday in which Kevon Looney exited early with an illness, Post entered Thursday's contest while the game was still competitive. He first subbed in for Looney with 3:47 remaining in the first quarter, and after drilling a three-pointer and assisting on an Andrew Wiggins dunk, he stayed in the game to begin the second quarter. Though he picked up four fouls in his 20 minutes, Post impressed with his perimeter shooting and passing skills, and head coach Steve Keerr said after the game that the improvements the rookie has shown in defending the pick-and-roll since the season started has increased the Warriors' comfort in playing him, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic. While Draymond Green (calf) and Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) remain out and with uncertain return timelines, Post looks as though he could stick in the rotation, though Thursday's game probably represents the higher end of what he's capable of providing.

DeMar DeRozan

Leads Kings in loss DeRozan recorded a team-high mark in points during another efficient outing. He also logged his 25th matchup with 20-plus points across 39 regular-season appearances. The veteran forward has been terrific over his last five outings, during which he has averaged 28.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 51.5 percent in 37.6 minutes per contest.

De'Aaron Fox

Shooting woes continue in loss Fox struggled from the field once again, and he has went through a rough stretch scoring the rock of late. The star guard has shot only 32.2 percent from the floor over his last five appearances, during which he has averaged 16.4 points, 7.4 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks in 37.8 minutes per contest. Fox has reached 20-plus points only one time in that inefficient five-game span, though he has still stuffed the stat sheet, which is encouraging for fantasy managers.

Michael Porter

Scores 20 points in victory The 26-year-old finished as the club's third-leading scorer, joining Nikola Jokic (35 points) and Christian Braun (21 points) with 20-plus points. Porter did struggle from three-point range, though he has been efficient of late. Over his last five outings, the forward has averaged 15.2 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 42.9 percent from deep in 28.0 minutes per game.

Christian Braun

Drops 21 points in win The 23-year-old recorded his third consecutive contest with at least 20 points, finishing as the club's second-leading scorer behind Nikola Jokic (35 points). Thursday's win also marked Braun's 11th outing with multiple swipes. The third-year guard has taken a significant leap this season, and he has been stellar over his last five outings, during which he has averaged 19.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 67.9 percent from the field in 29.6 minutes per game.

Nikola Jokic

Triple-double streak continues Jokic secured his fifth consecutive triple-double, and he posted at least 30 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists for the second time this season. The MVP candidate has also recorded at least three combined steals-plus-blocks in three straight outings. The superstar has stuffed the stat sheet while shooting an efficient 67.7 percent from the field over his last five outings, during which he has averaged 23.2 points, 15.0 rebounds, 11.4 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.2 blocks in 31.4 minutes per contest.

Tyler Smith

Returns to parent club Smith has bounced back and forth between the NBA and G League this season. However, the rookie forward has not made consecutive NBA appearances since doing so on Nov. 7 and 8.

AJ Johnson

Recalled to NBA on Thursday Johnson will rejoin the parent club, though he has seen little playing time at the NBA level. The rookie is averaging just 2.3 minutes per contest this season.

Ja Morant

Iffy against New Orleans Morant contracted an illness overnight and is now in danger of missing Friday's contest. If the star guard is ultimately ruled out, Scotty Pippen and Luke Kennard are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence.

Ousmane Dieng

Misses game with illness Before sitting out Thursday, Dieng had appeared in each of Oklahoma City's previous four games, averaging 5.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per contest. Even if Dieng shakes off the illness in time for the Thunder's next contest Sunday in Portland, he might fall out of the rotation if Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) is cleared to return from a five-game absence.

Dante Exum

Still not cleared for contact Exum has been able to take part in pregame workouts with the Mavericks recently as part of his recovery program for the right wrist surgery he underwent in early October, but the 29-year-old has yet to make enough progress to gain clearance for practices or scrimmaging. His absence appears likely to stretch into February.

Kelly Olynyk

Leaves early with tight calf Olynyk recorded 11 points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five assists, four rebounds and one steal in 14 minutes but appeared to tweak his calf late in the third quarter, prompting Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic to open the final period with Chris Boucher at center. Consider Olynyk day-to-day until the Raptors provide an update on his condition, but if Olynyk misses the team's rematch with Atlanta on Saturday, Boucher, Orlando Robinson or Jonathan Mogbo could serve as Jakob Poeltl's primary backup.

Gary Trent

Steps up with season-high 21 points With the team arriving home just a few short hours before tipoff due to travel issues in New Orleans, Trent caught fire from downtown and stepped up off Milwaukee's bench with a season-high 21 points and seven three-pointers. The Bucks were also without rotation regulars Khris Middleton (ankle) and AJ Green (quadriceps) on Thursday, allowing Trent to play his most minutes since a Dec. 31 win over Indiana. The sharpshooting Trent is averaging 11.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.8 three-pointers in 22.2 minutes while shooting a sizzling 56.9 percent from deep over his last 12 games.

Bobby Portis

Solid outing off bench Thursday Portis put together a solid outing from Milwaukee's bench Thursday. After wrapping up December on a high note, the 29-year-old big man cooled down considerably in the month of January. Portis has averaged 11.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 three-pointers in 22.6 minutes over his last 11 games, but he should remain locked in as the Bucks' sixth man as he looks to heat up going forward.

Damian Lillard

Just misses triple-double in win Although the Bucks were stranded in New Orleans until Thursday afternoon due to travel issues, Lillard didn't appear to be sluggish while earning his eighth double-double and teasing his first triple-double of the year. The superstar floor general has been on a roll lately, as he's averaged 26.2 points, 6.3 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 3.9 three-pointers while shooting a scorching 48.6 percent from deep over his last nine games. Lillard has also scored at least 22 points in each of these appearances.

Jaime Jaquez

Lukewarm production in loss Even with Jimmy Butler suspended, Jaquez still wasn't able to rejoin Miami's starting lineup in favor of rookie second-rounder Pelle Larsson on Thursday. Over his last four outings, Jaquez has averaged 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 24.7 minutes. With the Heat actively shopping Butler ahead of the Feb. 6 trade deadline, the 2023 first-rounder could end up making additional starts for the team down the stretch of the season despite his current reserve role.

Kel'el Ware

Continues to impress Thursday The standout rookie big man kept his foot on the gas Thursday, piling up a team-high 22 points en route to his third double-double of the campaign. Considering Haywood Highsmith was mostly ineffective as a starter for the Heat during the first half of the season, the starting job alongside Bam Adebayo in Miami's frontcourt appears to be Ware's to lose at this point. Over his last eight contests, Ware has averaged 14.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.1 three-pointers in 26.1 minutes while shooting 55.1 percent from the field.

Tyler Herro

Leads team with nine assists After missing his first game of the season in Tuesday's loss to Portland, Herro paced the Heat with nine assists and four three-pointers while falling a lone point shy of the team lead in the scoring column. With Jimmy Butler's (suspension) future with the Heat up in the air, Herro has taken over as Miami's top scoring option as he pushes for his first career All-Star recognition in 2024-25. Across his last seven appearances, Herro has averaged 26.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 4.3 three-pointers while shooting 41.7 percent from downtown.

Kenrich Williams

Pedestrian effort in loss While Williams put forth a pedestrian effort Thursday, his recent uptick in playing time is worth noting. Over his last seven games, the veteran forward has averaged 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 points and 0.7 assists in 17.0 minutes. Even though Williams should remain a candidate for additional reserve minutes in Oklahoma City's frontcourt while starting center Isaiah Hartenstein sits on the shelf with a calf injury, the former is shooting just 27.8 percent from the floor during that span and could remain hard-pressed to muster much fantasy relevance.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Adds another 30-point display Fresh off scoring a career-high 54 points Wednesday, Gilgeous-Alexander added another impressive display to his MVP-caliber campaign. Thursday's 31 points marked the 26th time this season that he's reached the 30-point plateau for the Thunder. The superstar guard has averaged a whopping 34.9 points, 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.4 three-pointers across his last nine appearances.

Jalen Williams

Massive two-way impact Thursday It was Williams' first 30-point effort since a Dec. 20 win over Miami, and he also turned in a full stat line for the Thunder despite a losing effort Thursday. The 23-year-old rising star remains one of the most balanced two-way players in the Western Conference as he pushes for his first career All-Star nod in 2024-25. Through his last nine games, Williams has delivered well-rounded averages of 22.6 points, 5.3 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 0.9 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper

Season-high 14 points off bench Prosper lost his spot in Dallas' starting five to Spencer Dinwiddie against a smaller Thunder lineup, but that didn't stop him from scoring a season-high 14 points off the bench during a busy night at the foul line. Prosper has seen an uptick in playing time over his last six games, during which he's averaging 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.5 steals in 16.6 minutes. With the Mavericks' frontcourt dealing with several injuries at the moment, the 2023 first-rounder could continue witnessing a bump in minutes going forward.

P.J. Washington

Piles up career-high 19 rebounds With Daniel Gafford missing some action with an apparent neck injury, Washington dominated on the glass against an undersized Thunder frontcourt with a career-high 19 rebounds on the heels of producing a season-high 30 points Wednesday. While Washington's role on Dallas' offense primarily as a spot-up shooter can yield inconsistent results at times, that hasn't prevented him from staying very productive for the Mavericks. Over his past 10 games, the 26-year-old has averaged 17.0 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 three-pointers.

Spencer Dinwiddie

Erupts for team-high 28 points After scoring in single digits in his previous two outings, Dinwiddie erupted with an efficient 28 points to lead the Mavericks but didn't make as big of an impact in the other areas of the box score. Although the veteran guard is playing a more prominent role in Dallas' rotation while Luka Doncic nurses a calf strain, Dinwiddie remains a fairly volatile fantasy option on a nightly basis. Overall, he's averaging 15.6 points, 4.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.6 three-pointers while shooting 29.2 percent from deep over his last nine games.

Jalen Adaway

Team-high four threes in G League Making just his fifth appearance and second start of the season with San Diego, Adaway buried a team-high four three-pointers to go with a full stat line Wednesday. After spending the entire 2023-24 campaign overseas, the 26-year-old swingman appears to still be getting acclimated to G League action this year, with averages of 8.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.7 blocks and 0.8 three-pointers in 21.3 minutes while shooting only 36.0 percent from the field.

Jackson Rowe

Season-high 30 points in G League It was an outstanding performance by Rowe, whose team-high 30 points also established a new season-high figure in 2024-25. The 28-year-old forward continues to bring versatility to the table for the G League Warriors, averaging 13.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.7 three-pointers while starting in all but one of his appearances across 22 games.

Sir'Jabari Rice

Team-high 27 points in G League Rice stepped up off South Bay's bench with a team-high 27 points Wednesday. The 26-year-old sharpshooter continues to provide instant offense from the G League Lakers' second unit, averaging 12.0 points, 2.8 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in 19.6 minutes while shooting 46.0 percent from deep over 18 appearances this season.

Cason Wallace

Heads to locker room Wallace was hit in the face by Kyrie Irving on a loose ball scramble, and he's questionable to return. This is a huge blow for a depleted Thunder team, as Luguentz Dort got ejected and Isaiah Joe (illness) is out.

Jett Howard

Leads from deep off bench in return Howard returned Thursday after missing Orlando's previous five contests due to a sprained left ankle, providing a nice spark off the bench by connecting on a team-high mark from three and finishing as one of four players with a double-digit point total. Howard has connected on three or more threes in six contests this season, now having reached double figures in scoring in seven outings.

Tristan da Silva

Provides spark in return to bench Da Silva returned to the Magic bench due to the return of Franz Wagner (oblique), but still put up strong numbers while leading all second unit players in scoring and finishing as one of two Orlando players with 15 or more points in a losing effort. Da Silva has recorded at least 15 points in nine contests, his second while coming off the bench. He has now posted at least 15 points and five boards on five occasions.

Franz Wagner

Leads in scoring in return Wagner returned Thursday after missing Orlando's previous 20 contests due to a torn right oblique, returning to form by leading all Magic players in scoring while finishing as the lone player with 20 or more points in a losing effort. Wagner, who was the top producer for Orlando prior to his injury, should continue to see an increase in both playing time and production as he gets back towards 100 percent.

Robert Williams

Strong in paint in starting lineup Williams got his third start of the season Thursday due to Deandre Ayton (knee) inactive, going on to lead all Portland players in rebounds and blocks while finishing two points shy of a double-double in a balanced performance. Williams set new season-high marks in rebounds and blocks, holding previous season highs of nine boards and four blocks. Williams has tallied at least eight points and eight rebounds in three contests, his first as a starter.

Mo Bamba

Not starting vs. Wizards Bamba started in the Clippers' last two games, but he'll return to his regular second-unit role here since Ivica Zubac (eye) is back in action. Bamba has played off the bench in 24 of his 26 appearances this season, averaging 4.2 points and 4.3 rebounds across 12.5 minutes per game in those instances.

Amir Coffey

Back to bench vs. Washington Coffey finished with 24 points (9-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 44 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Celtics. However, the return of Kawhi Leonard (knee) will send Coffey back to his regular role off the bench. Coffey has started in only 10 of his 42 appearances this season, so he's used to being part of the second unit.

Terance Mann

Not starting Thursday The Clippers will have all of their regulars back in the starting lineup for the second leg of this back-to-back set, so Mann will return to the bench. Mann is averaging 7.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game across 18 outings off the bench this season.

Kevin Porter

Back to bench role Thursday Porter ended with 26 points (12-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 117-113 overtime loss to the Celtics, but the impressive stat line won't hand him another start. James Harden (groin) will return from a one-game absence, so Porter will return to his regular backup role in the second unit.

Toumani Camara

Balanced outing in return to lineup Camara returned Thursday after missing Tuesday's game due to an illness, putting forth a balanced performance that included finishing second on the team in scoring, rebounds, blocks and steals in a team-high-tying minute total. Camara recorded north of 15 points for the eighth time this season, adding five or more boards in seven of those contests. He has now posted at least two steals and two blocks in the same game for the second time.

Anfernee Simons

Strong from deep as leading scorer Simons led the way for Portland offensively in Thursday's contest, connecting on a team-high mark from three while leading all players in scoring. Simons has connected on three or more threes in three straight contests, tallying at least 20 points in two consecutive outings. He has now recorded at least 20 points and three threes in 20 appearances this season.

Luguentz Dort

Ejected against Dallas Dort's flagrant two foul on Gafford resulted in the Mavericks' big man being down on the floor for some time before heading to the locker room. Fortunately for Gafford, he was able to return in the second half. Still, the damage was done for Oklahoma City, with one of their best defensive players out for the rest of the game and possibly facing a suspension for his actions Thursday.

Kevon Looney

Moving back to bench role Looney exited Wednesday's contest against the Kings due to an illness, and while he's good to go Thursday, he'll return to his regular bench role. The big man is averaging 5.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest across his 31 appearances off the bench this season.

Luke Kornet

Back to bench Thursday After starting Wednesday's win against the Clippers, Kornet will assume his usual role off the bench. Boston is getting key players back for this matchup. The 29-year-old big man had a forgettable performance Wednesday, finishing with two points, two rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block.

Trayce Jackson-Davis

Moving to starting role Jackson-Davis will return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in Golden State's previous contest. The big man is averaging 7.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game across 11 appearances this month.

Sam Hauser

Returning to bench role Hauser made a spot start in Wednesday's 117-113 overtime win over the Clippers, notching 15 points, four rebounds and a steal across 25 minutes. However, he'll return to the bench here due to Jrue Holiday (shoulder) being back in the mix. Hauser is averaging 6.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game since the beginning of January.

Anthony Davis

Suiting up vs. Boston Similar to what has happened with LeBron James, Davis will suit up and handle his regular workload in the frontcourt despite being a constant presence in the injury report. Davis has been stellar in recent weeks and is averaging a robust stat line of 23.7 points, 13.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.0 blocks per game since the beginning of January.

Daniel Gafford

Returns for second half With the Mavericks dealing with several key players being in and out of the lineup this season, Gafford returning for the second half against the Thunder is a promising sign for Dallas. The 26-year-old big man is helping shoulder the load in the frontcourt with Dereck Lively (ankle) on the mend.

LeBron James

Suiting up Thursday As has been the case throughout the season, James will suit up and handle his regular workload despite being listed as probable in the injury report. He's averaging 24.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 9.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game since the beginning of January.

Gary Payton

Will play against Chicago Payton's status was uncertain ahead of Thursday's game against the Bulls, but he's been cleared to play. The veteran guard performed well in Wednesday's loss to the Kings, finishing with eight points, six rebounds, and an assist in 13 minutes for the Warriors.

Trayce Jackson-Davis

Available vs. Chicago Jackson-Davis came off the bench in the last game against the Kings on Wednesday but finished with 11 points and eight rebounds across 24 minutes, so it wouldn't be surprising if he returns to the first unit here. The second-year big man is averaging 8.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game across 42 appearances (34 starts) in 2024-25.

Lindy Waters

Will play Thursday Waters was one of several players who were questionable for the Warriors ahead of this matchup, but in the end, he'll be available and should see steady minutes off the bench. Waters is averaging 7.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game in 10 outings this month.

Daniel Gafford

Leaves for locker room Thursday Gafford stayed down on the court for an extended period, calling for the training staff after a scary fall. With the Mavericks thin at center, Maxi Kleber and Olivier-Maxence Prosper will likely see a bump in minutes the rest of the way if Gafford is unable to return.

Obi Toppin

Lifts bench in scoring in defeat Toppin provided an offensive spark off the Pacers bench in Thursday's blowout contest, connecting on a team-high-tying trio of threes while leading all Indiana second unit players in scoring. Toppin, who was one of five Indiana players in double figures Thursday, has reached double figures off bench in three of his last five contests.

Bennedict Mathurin

Leading scorer in blowout loss Mathurin did all he could to help Indiana offensively in Thursday's blowout contest, leading all Pacers in scoring and shots made while adding a pair of steals defensively in a two-way performance. Mathurin has posted at least 25 points in five outings this season, his first such performance since he last did so New Year's Eve against Milwaukee. Mathurin has shot well from deep as of late, connecting on at least two threes in four of his last five contests.

Andrew Nembhard

Top distributor in balanced outing Nembhard distributed the ball well Thursday despite having somewhat of a quiet scoring performance, leading all Pacers in assists to go along with a team-high trio of steals in a balanced performance. Nembhard has handed out eight or more assists in four outings this season, doing so in two of his last four contests. He also matched a season high in steals, a mark he has recorded on two other occasions.

Devin Vassell

Leads from deep in blowout win Vassell lit it up from deep in Thursday's contest, leading all Bucks players in threes made while finishing as one of two players with 25 or more points in a winning effort. Vassell did more than just score Thursday, swiping a team-high-tying pair of steals while concluding second on the team in blocks and distributing the ball well. Vassell matched season-high marks in both scoring and threes made, posting 25 points in one other outing this season while connecting on five threes on three different occasions.

Harrison Barnes

Balanced game in 20-point showing Barnes provided a nice lift on both ends of the floor in Thursday's blowout victory, recording a team-high-tying steals total while finishing as one of three Milwaukee players with 20 or more points. Barnes has tallied at least 20 points in six contests this season while reaching double figures in eight straight appearances. Barnes, who set a new season high in steals Thursday, has notched at least 20 points and seven boards in four outings.

Ayo Dosunmu

Upgraded to available Dosunmu was initially questionable to play Thursday against the Warriors on the road, but that has changed. This is a step in the right direction for Chicago against a Golden State squad dealing with several injuries.

Coby White

Ruled out Thursday White will miss his second consecutive outing due to a sore right ankle, and his next chance to play will come Saturday against Philadelphia. With the star guard sidelined, Lonzo Ball and Talen Horton-Tucker are candidates for increased roles.

Moses Moody

Available vs. Chicago Moody was a game-time call for this contest, but the guard will be available and should add depth off the bench. Moody is averaging 9.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists since the beginning of January.

Victor Wembanyama

Does it all in 30-10 double-double Wembanyama shined Thursday in front of his hometown crowd in France, leading all players in the contest in scoring, rebounds and blocks while handing out the second-highest assist total among Bucks players in a double-double performance. Wembanyama posted his 12th outing of the season with five or more blocks while recording at least 30 points and 10 boards in five contests.

Gary Payton

Downgraded to questionable After starting the last two games, Payton is trending toward not playing in Friday's game against Chicago. Fortunately, Brandin Podziemski will make his return against the Bulls, which should help pick up the slack in the backcourt.

Jalen Johnson

Won’t return Thursday Johnson ran to the locker room early in the second quarter after sustaining a left shoulder injury on a block attempt, and he'll finish the matchup with three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 11 minutes. With the 23-year-old sidelined, De'Andre Hunter, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Garrison Mathews could all see a bump in minutes the rest of the way.

Stephen Curry

Available Thursday Kerr said Thursday that Curry's knee tendinitis is "under control," and he'll suit up for the second leg of the club's back-to-back set, per Gordon. The superstar has appeared in five consecutive contests, during which he has averaged 23.0 points, 7.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 33.4 minutes per contest.

Jalen Johnson

Exits to locker room Thursday Johnson grabbed at his shoulder and ran to the locker room following a block attempt on Scottie Barnes. Specifics on the extent of the injury are unclear, though if he's unable to return, De'Andre Hunter and Garrison Mathews are candidates for increased playing time the rest of the way.

Pelle Larsson

Moving to starting role The rookie out of Arizona will start for the first time in his career. He's averaging 4.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 13.0 minutes per game this season, but he's likely to see an expanded role as a starter.

Terry Rozier

Reverts back to bench Thursday The veteran guard drew the start for Tyler Herro (groin) during Tuesday's loss to Portland, though he'll retreat to the bench in Herro's return. Over his last 10 outings (eight starts), Rozier has averaged 11.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting 41.3 percent from the field in 27.7 minutes per game.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper

Returns to bench Thursday Kessler Edwards will supplant Prosper in the starting five on Thursday. The 22-year-old received his second start over his two-year career in Wednesday's win over Utah with Klay Thompson (ankle) and Naji Marshall (illness) sidelined, during which he recorded four points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes.

Quentin Grimes

Shifts back to bench Thursday The 24-year-old will retreat to the bench in favor of Spencer Dinwiddie on Thursday. Over his last five outings (one start), Grimes has averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 24.6 minutes per game.

Spencer Dinwiddie

Set to start Thursday Dinwiddie will be thrust into the starting lineup for Dallas for the 13th time this season Thursday on the road in Oklahoma City. The veteran guard averages 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game as a starter for the Mavericks this season.

Aaron Wiggins

Retreats to bench Thursday Cason Wallace will supplant Wiggins in the starting five after he posted 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 23 minutes as a member of the starting five during Wednesday's win over Utah. Over his last five outings (two starts), the 26-year-old has averaged 8.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 24.2 minutes per contest.

Kessler Edwards

Making first start of season The Mavericks will be depleted when it comes to their wing depth for this contest, so Edwards will get the start at small forward. Edwards has made 14 appearances off the bench this season and is averaging a mere 3.6 minutes per contest.

Cason Wallace

Starting Thursday The 21-year-old will reclaim his starting spot from Aaron Wiggins after coming off the bench in Wednesday's win over Utah. Wallace has started in 28 of his 42 regular-season appearances thus far, during which he has averaged 7.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals in 29.5 minutes per contest.

Khris Middleton

Not playing Thursday Middleton was listed as probable earlier Thursday, but head coach Doc Rivers revealed that the veteran wing wouldn't be playing. His next chance to play will come against the Clippers on Saturday, and the absence of Middleton means Gary Trent, Ryan Rollins and Bobby Portis should see more minutes off the bench.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Cleared to play Thursday Antetokounmpo has been a mainstay on the injury report throughout the season due to right patella tendinopathy, though he'll suit up Friday. The MVP candidate has yet to miss a matchup in January, during which he has averaged 28.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.2 blocks while shooting 59.0 percent from the field in 34.6 minutes per contest over 10 outings.

Tyler Herro

Good to go Thursday Herro will return to action after missing his first game of the year in Tuesday's loss to Portland. The star guard has recorded three outings with 30-plus points in his last five appearances, during which he has averaged 27.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 4.4 threes while shooting 55.1 percent from the floor in 34.8 minutes per contest.

Keshad Johnson

Will suit up Thursday Johnson doesn't have a big role in the rotation and isn't expected to see many minutes unless the game turns into a blowout. Thus, Johnson's availability shouldn't affect many fantasy decisions.

Seth Curry

Probable for Friday Curry is expected to suit up Friday while he deals with a right ankle sprain. The veteran sharpshooter has seen a decline in playing time of late, and despite being listed as available, he has appeared in only three of the club's last six outings, during which he has averaged 8.0 points while shooting 66.7 percent from downtown in 13.3 minutes per game.

Ochai Agbaji

Ruled out for Thursday Agbaji will miss a third consecutive game for the Raptors as he continues to deal with a laceration on his right hand. In his absence, Bruce Brown could see a bump in minutes in Atlanta.

Scoot Henderson

Slides back to bench Thursday The second-year pro will retreat to the bench after starting in the club's last two outings with Anfernee Simons and Toumani Camara both missing a matchup. Henderson has started in four of the Trail Blazers' last five outings, during which he has averaged 22.4 points, 7.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 34.8 minutes per contest.

Ivica Zubac

Cleared to play Thursday Zubac will return from a two-game absence due to a left eye corneal abrasion. The big man has averaged 14.6 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 blocks in 29.2 minutes per game over his last five outings, and his availability should send Mo Bamba back to the bench.

Toumani Camara

Available to play Thursday Camara missed Tuesday's win over the Heat with an illness, but he returns after a one-game absence. The former Dayton standout has started in each of his 41 appearances, averaging 9.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per contest.

Kris Murray

Available Thursday Murray will return to game action after missing Tuesday's win over Miami due to a chest contusion. Over his last five outings, the 24-year-old forward has averaged 6.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per contest.

Marvin Bagley

Still out Thursday Bagley hasn't played since Dec. 23 against the Thunder due to what looked to be a significant right knee sprain. The Wizards haven't offered many details on where Bagley stands in his recovery from the injury, with head coach Brian Keefe having merely said that the big man isn't out for the season. Bagley appears likely to miss more games beyond Thursday.

Jalen Johnson

Good to go Thursday Johnson will be available to play in Thursday's game against Toronto. The up-and-comer is solid performance in Wednesday's loss to the Pistons, finishing with 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists and a season-high six steals.

Chris Duarte

Missing another game Duarte will miss a third straight game while he tends to a personal matter. The 27-year-old hasn't been a mainstay in the rotation this season, so his absence will likely go largely unnoticed.

Jevon Carter

Off injury report Carter had missed Chicago's previous two games while recovering an illness, but he'll be available off the bench for the final contest of the Bulls' road trip. The veteran guard hasn't been a regular in the rotation this season, appearing in just 19 games while averaging 6.5 minutes.

Marcus Smart

Remains out for Friday Smart will miss his 16th consecutive contest due to the sprained right finger, and there's no clear timetable for his return to game action. The veteran guard should still be considered week-to-week until Memphis provides another update on his status.

Coby White

Officially questionable for Thursday Though the Bulls are viewing White as a 50-50 proposition for Thursday, head coach Billy Donovan said just one day earlier that the shooting guard was likely to miss a second straight game while he manages a sore right ankle. With that in mind, fantasy managers shouldn't bank on White playing Thursday, and even if he does end up getting the green light to suit up ahead of the 10 p.m. ET tipoff, he could be operating with a minute restriction. Ayo Dosunmu (calf) is listed as questionable but appears more likely than White to play and would presumably enter the starting five if White can't go.

Trae Young

Available vs. Toronto Young will be available to take on the Raptors in Thursday's matchup, giving the Hawks a better chance of coming out on top at home. The superstar guard is coming off a less-than-stellar performance for his standards against the Pistons, finishing with only 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting. Still, he'll be facing a Toronto squad that has won only 11 games this season, meaning there could be a big game coming from the 26-year-old.

Jake LaRavia

Ruled out for Friday LaRavia will miss his second consecutive contest due to low back soreness, and his next chance to suit up will come Saturday against the Jazz. With Santi Aldama (illness) at risk of joining LaRavia on the sideline, Brandon Clarke, Luke Kennard and John Konchar could all see a slight uptick in playing time off the bench.

Jon Elmore

Bounces back in G League Elmore nailed a team-high four three-pointers Wednesday, notching an efficient 14 points in the process. It was a much-needed bounce-back performance for the 29-year-old sharpshooter, who had failed to reach double-digit scoring figures in each of his prior five appearances for the G League Kings.

Santi Aldama

Iffy for Friday Aldama exited Wednesday's win over Charlotte early due to the illness, during which he amassed two points (1-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 19 minutes. If the 24-year-old is sidelined Friday, Brandon Clarke and Luke Kennard could see extended run with the second unit.

Dejounte Murray

Probable for Friday Murray is trending toward suiting for Friday's game against Memphis, even though he's dealing with an elbow issue. The talented guard is coming off one of his best games of the season for the Pelicans, as he came one rebound shy of recording a triple-double, finishing with 26 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists in Monday's win against the Jazz.

Yves Missi

Likely to play Friday Missi has missed two consecutive contests due to the non-COVID illness, though he'll likely return to game action Friday. The rookie big man has been a mainstay in the Pelicans' starting five, and over his last 10 outings, he has averaged 8.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.8 assists while shooting 60.8 percent from the field in 28.4 minutes per game.

Cole Anthony

Won’t go Thursday Anthony will miss his second consecutive contest due to an illness, and his next chance to suit up will come Saturday against Detroit. The 24-year-old has been a mainstay in the starting five with Jalen Suggs (back) on the shelf, meaning Anthony Black should continue to receive an increased role.

Brandon Ingram

Remains without return timetable Ingram hasn't played since Dec. 7 due to a sprained left ankle. Until Ingram is able to fully practice or New Orleans offers a more concrete timetable for the star forward's return, he can be considered week-to-week.

Isaac Okoro

Ruled out Friday Okoro will miss a fourth straight game with a right shoulder strain. In his absence, Dean Wade and Georges Niang could see more time on the floor, especially if Caris LeVert (wrist) can't play in Friday's game in Philadelphia.

Zion Williamson

Won’t play Friday Williamson was deemed questionable for Wednesday's contest due to an illness before the game was postponed. While Williamson is set to sit out the first leg of New Orleans' back-to-back Friday, his injury designation no longer sites an illness. The star forward's next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Charlotte.

Caris LeVert

Questionable for Friday LeVert has missed the last two games for the Cavaliers and may be trending toward missing a third straight. If he can't play on the road in Friday's game in Philadelphia, Max Strus, Sam Merrill and Ty Jerome could get more time on the floor against the 76ers.

Robert Williams

Set to start Thursday Williams will replace DeAndre Ayton (knee) in the starting five Thursday. Williams is averaging 5.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 3.0 blocks and 1.0 steals in 16.0 minutes across his previous two starting appearances this season.

Deandre Ayton

Ruled out Thursday Ayton has been downgraded from questionable to out Tuesday due to left knee soreness. Robert Williams will draw the start at center in his absence. Ayton's next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Charlotte.

Evan Mobley

Ruled out against Philadelphia Mobley will miss a fourth straight game for the Cavaliers while dealing with a right calf strain. The 23-year-old rising star is having a solid year for Cleveland, averaging a career-high 18.6 points per game to go along with 8.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest. Georges Niang could see more time on the floor in Mobley's absence, especially if Caris LeVert (wrist), who is listed as questionable, cannot play against the 76ers.

Anfernee Simons

Good to go against Orlando Simons has been upgraded from questionable to available Thursday despite dealing with lower back soreness. The 25-year-old guard is averaging 20.2 points, 5.0 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 34.2 minutes across his previous 10 outings.

Tristan da Silva

Retreats to bench Da Silva will be replaced by Franz Wagner in the starting lineup Thursday. Da Silva is averaging 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.6 minutes across his seven appearances coming off the bench this season.

Cody Martin

Probable for Friday Martin is trending toward playing in Friday's game against the visiting Trail Blazers, even though he's dealing with left groin tightness. The 29-year-old is having a decent season for Charlotte, averaging a career-best numbers in points (8.1) and rebounds (4.6).

Dereck Lively

Due for checkup in one month Though Lively is due to be examined by doctors again in approximately one month, fantasy managers shouldn't expect the second-year center to be ready to play right away even if his re-evaluation yields good news. Shams Charania of ESPN reported earlier Wednesday that Lively's injury is expected to keep him sidelined for around 2-to-3 months in total, making him a drop candidate in most redraft leagues with limited injured reserve spots. Daniel Gafford has started each of the last four games in Lively's stead and has played 30-plus minutes on three occasions while averaging 20.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 2.3 assists and 0.8 steals.

Miles Bridges

Questionable for Friday With Brandon Miller (wrist) out for the season, the Hornets will need Bridges now more than ever. However, he might see the floor Friday due to back spasms. Josh Okogie could see a boost in minutes, with Bridges potentially forced to sit against Portland.

Jarrett Culver

Adds 20 points off bench Culver reached the 20-point mark for the first time since Jan. 6. He also contributed on the defensive end by accounting for three of his club's 12 steals on the night. Culver is averaging 13.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals through 24 appearances this season with Osceola.

Patrick Baldwin

Collects G League double-double Baldwin wasn't very efficient shooting the basketball, but he still managed to put up 18 points due to his shot volume. The 22-year-old also led his squad in rebounds on the way to his first double-double of the G League Regular Season.

Erik Stevenson

Adds 22 off bench Stevenson missed his club's last matchup Friday against the Blue Coats due to a back issue, but he saw plenty of opportunities on the offensive end Wednesday, pacing the Go-Go in scoring despite being deployed off the bench. The 25-year-old has been a force as a scorer of late, dropping 20-plus points in five of his last six appearances.

LaMelo Ball

Iffy against Portland Ball is in danger of missing his first contest since Jan. 3 due to a sprained right wrist. If the star guard is ultimately downgraded to out, Vasilije Micic will likely receive increased playing time.

Gary Payton

Probable for Thursday Payton is battling an illness but is trending toward playing in Thursday's game against the Bulls. The 31-year-old guard is averaging 4.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.4 minutes per game this season for Golden State.

Jett Howard

Good to go Thursday Howard has been upgraded from questionable to available Thursday after missing Orlando's previous five contests due to a sprained left ankle. Howard is averaging 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 13.1 minutes across his last 10 appearances.

Drew Timme

Secures double-double in win Timme posted an incredibly efficient shooting line and nabbed his third double-double in four appearances with the help of a strong night on the glass. The Gonzaga product has played at a high level during the G League Regular Season, averaging 20.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals in eight games.

Franz Wagner

Set to return Thursday Wagner has been upgraded from questionable to available Thursday after missing Orlando's previous 20 contests due to a torn right oblique. While Wagner should reclaim his spot in the starting lineup, it wouldn't be surprising for him to operate on a minutes restriction as he works his way back into game shape.
