Fantasy News

Norman Powell

Powell (knee) is available against the Warriors on Thursday. Powell had a scary collision Wednesday night against the Kings that ended his night early, so it's good to see him get activated on the second leg of the back-to-back set. There's no word of any restrictions heading into tipoff.

Bam Adebayo

Adebayo will not return to Thursday’s game against the Pacers after getting hit in the hip. He finished with seven points (3-9 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 12 minutes. This is the same hip that has been giving him problems for several days now. If Adebayo is unable to play in Saturday's rematch against Indiana, we could see more of Caleb Martin with the Heat deploying some smaller lineups in Thursday's game.

Moses Moody

Moody will enter the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Clippers, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Andrew Wiggins (finger) will not play Thursday, but he's believed to be day-to-day. Moody has been hot for the Warriors, as he hasn't missed a shot from the field in his last two outings.

LaMelo Ball

Ball will be re-evaluated in one week after an MRI confirmed his right ankle sprain. This means Ball will be re-evaluated around Dec. 7. However, this does not mean that he'll return right away, as Shams Charania of The Athletic previously reported that Ball will miss extended time. Considering Ball's injury history, the Hornets will obviously proceed with caution.

Ayo Dosunmu

Dosunmu is in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Bucks. Dosunmu will start in place of Zach LaVine, who has been ruled out with a foot injury. This will be his first start of the campaign. He's averaging 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game through 17 appearances.

Nassir Little

Little (personal) will be available for Friday’s game against Denver. Little missed Wednesday's game against the Raptors, but he's all set to return Friday. Little has been giving the Suns quality minutes in recent games, scoring in double figures in four of his last five contests.

Alex Caruso

Caruso will enter the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Bucks. The Bulls are missing Zach LaVine (foot) and DeMar DeRozan (ankle), so Caruso and Ayo Dosunmu will step into the first unit alongside Coby White, Patrick Williams and Nikola Vucevic. Caruso is usually a defensive-minded player, but he'll suddenly have more usage coming his way Thursday.

Grayson Allen

Allen (illness) will be available for Friday’s game against the Nuggets. Allen has missed the past two games for the Suns, but he's no longer showing up on the injury report. He's had a solid campaign so far, averaging 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.4 three-pointers. He could have more touches coming his way if Devin Booker (ankle, questionable) is unable to play.

Troy Brown

Brown is in the starting unit to play against the Jazz on Thursday. Brown will move to the starting lineup with Anthony Edwards (hip) ruled out, and this will be the first time he'll play in the first unit. He's averaging 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game this season.

DeMar DeRozan

DeRozan (ankle) will not play in Thursday’s game against the Bucks. DeRozan will join Zach LaVine (foot) on the shelf for Thursday's game, but he'll likely be day-to-day going forward considering he was carrying a questionable tag prior to this update. Nikola Vucevic and Coby White will likely generate most of Chicago's offense Thursday, and this will be a great opportunity for Patrick Williams to step up.

Devin Booker

Booker (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Nuggets. Booker tweaked his ankle during the third quarter of Wednesday's game against the Raptors, and he admitted that he wasn't sure if he would play Friday. The questionable tag suggests that he's day-to-day, but we may not know more until the morning shootaround.

Cam Reddish

Reddish (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday’s contest against the Thunder, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Reddish was deemed a game-time call for this matchup, but he'll end up being ruled out, so the rotation will be a bit thinner at the forward spots. Reddish's next chance to play will come against the Rockets on Saturday.

LeBron James

James (calf) is available for Thursday’s game against the Thunder, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. James has been no stranger to questionable tags in recent weeks, but he continues to push through the calf injury. He looked sharp in Wednesday's game against the Pistons, scoring 25 points with eight rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes.

Jaden Ivey

Ivey will come off the bench for Thursday’s game against the Knicks, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. Ivey had been playing well for Detroit until a dud against the Lakers on Wednesday in which he was held to seven points in 19 minutes before fouling out. The Pistons haven't won a game in November, so it's not a surprise to see coach Monty Williams continue to make tweaks to his rotation.

Isaiah Livers

Livers is in the starting lineup against the Knicks on Thursday, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. The Pistons are tweaking their first unit, and Livers will be part of the starting five to provide a boost on the offensive side of the ball. Livers will start alongside Killian Hayes, Cade Cunningham, Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren.

Ausar Thompson

Thompson will come off the bench for Thursday’s game against the Knicks, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. The Pistons haven't won a game since Oct. 28, so it was inevitable that changes were coming. Isaiah Livers will replace Thompson in the starting lineup, but it would be surprising if Thompson didn't maintain a significant role.

Killian Hayes

Hayes is in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Knicks, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. Hayes moves back to the starting lineup after four straight games coming off the bench, and he will attempt to boost the team on the offensive side of the ball. Hayes is averaging 10.2 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game when deployed as a starter.

Josh Richardson

Richardson will come off the bench for Thursday’s game against the Pacers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Jimmy Butler (ankle) is returning from a two-game absence, but Richardson still figures to play a significant role with the second unit due to his ability to play multiple positions.

Matt Ryan

Ryan (calf) is doubtful for Friday’s game against the Spurs. Ryan has missed the last six games due to a calf strain and will likely be unavailable once again Friday. If he's ruled out, it's unclear whether he'll be available for Saturday's game in Chicago.

Kevin Love

Love will return to the bench for Thursday’s game against the Pacers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Haywood Highsmith is back in the starting lineup for the Heat after missing Tuesday's game versus the Bucks with a back issue. Love fared well in his spot start Tuesday, grabbing 10 boards to go with six points and four assists.

Peyton Watson

Watson (illness) is probable for Friday’s game against the Suns. Watson continues to deal with a non-COVID illness, but he played through the issue Wednesday against Houston and will likely be able to do so again Friday. However, his role will likely depend on whether Aaron Gordon (heel) is cleared to suit up.

LeBron James

James (calf) has been tabbed a game-time call for Thursday’s game against the Thunder, head coach Darvin Ham told Jovan Buha of The Athletic. James was listed as questionable earlier Thursday, and Ham suggested he'll wait until closer to tip-off to determine his status. James has been playing regularly despite dealing with an injury, and unless he suffers a setback, he should be able to suit up. James is averaging 21.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game over his last five appearances.

Cam Reddish

Reddish (groin) is a game-time decision for Thursday’s matchup against the Thunder, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports. Reddish carries a questionable designation for Thursday's matchup after returning from a three-game absence Wednesday against the Pistons. The Lakers want to see how he feels after pregame warmups before determining his status for the second half of the back-to-back set, and it's not yet clear whether he'll take on a starting role if he's available.

DeMar DeRozan

DeRozan (ankle) is considered a game-time decision for Thursday’s game against the Bucks, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. DeRozan is questionable for Thursday's matchup after leaving Tuesday's game against the Celtics due to a sore ankle, and the Bulls want to see how he fares during pregame warmups before determining his status against Milwaukee. If he's available, DeRozan could be even more of a focal point for Chicago since Zach LaVine (foot) has been ruled out. If DeRozan sits out, Alex Caruso could see increased run for the Bulls.

Ryan Arcidiacono

Arcidiacono (ankle) is available to play against the Pistons on Thursday. Arcidiacano is averaging 2.2 minutes across five appearances this season, and while his presence in the rotation might add depth to the team, he's not expected to play a big role unless the Knicks end up leading by a wide margin.

Jordan Clarkson

Clarkson (thigh) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. Clarkson was questionable for Thursday's matchup and will officially be unable to suit up in the second half of the back-to-back set. Ochai Agbaji will start in his place Thursday, while Collin Sexton and Talen Horton-Tucker could also see increased roles.

Ochai Agbaji

Agbaji will start Thursday against the Timberwolves, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. Agbaji will enter the starting unit in place of Jordan Clarkson, who's out due to a thigh injury. Agbaji is averaging 5.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game when deployed as a starter.

Aaron Gordon

Gordon (heel) is questionable for Friday’s matchup against the Suns. Gordon has missed the past three games as a result of the strained right heel. He may be on a minutes limit if he returns. Jamal Murray (ankle) is also questionable.

Kelly Olynyk

Olynyk (shoulder) is available to play Thursday against the Timberwolves, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports. Olynyk was tabbed as a game-time call for this matchup, and he should provide a boost in the frontcourt against one of the best interior duos in the league in Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert. A regular presence off the bench, Olynyk is averaging 7.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game over his last 10 appearances.

Isaiah Jackson

Jackson (illness) is available for Thursday’s game against the Heat. Jackson was questionable for Thursday's matchup due to an upper respiratory infection, but he's been cleared to play. Over his last two appearances, he's averaged 5.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game.

Jamal Murray

Murray is questionable for Friday’s matchup at the Suns due to a sprained right ankle. On Wednesday, Murray returned from an 11-game absence due to a hamstring injury. He had a quality outing, posting 16 points (4-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds and six assists in 22 minutes with no turnovers in the win over the Rockets. However, he sprained his right ankle in the process and now may need to sit out again. Reggie Jackson should rejoin the starters if Murray cannot play.

T.J. McConnell

McConnell (hamstring) is available to play Thursday against the Heat. The veteran floor general was deemed a game-time call, but he will end up being available and should see his regular workload off the bench. McConnell has seen limited minutes of late, however, as he hasn't reached the 15-minute mark in his last three outings, and that limits his fantasy upside considerably.

Jaxson Hayes

Hayes (elbow) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Thunder. Hayes is dealing with a sore left elbow after exiting Wednesday's game against the Pistons, and he'll be unavailable for the second half of the back-to-back set. Christian Wood could see additional run against the Thunder.

Anthony Davis

Davis (groin/hip) will play Thursday against the Thunder, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports. As expected due to his initial probable tag, Davis will suit up despite some hip soreness. He's coming off a strong performance against the Pistons in a blowout win and now faces one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA.

Max Christie

Christie (calf) is available to play against the Thunder on Thursday. Christie was deemed a game-time call due to a calf problem, but he has been listed as available enough to feature Thursday. That said, he shouldn't be anything more than a bench option for the Lakers.

Victor Wembanyama

Wembanyama (hip) will be available to play Thursday against the Hawks, Don Harris of News 4 San Antonio reports. Wembanyama was expected to be a game-time decision, but it seems he fared well enough in the pre-game drills to be available for Thursday's matchup. Wembanyama is averaging 19.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game over his last 10 appearances.

Jimmy Butler

Butler (ankle) is available for Thursday’s game against the Pacers. The Heat indicated that Butler would warm up with the intent to play Thursday, and he'll officially be able to return from a two-game absence. Over his last seven appearances, he's averaged 23.0 points, 4.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 33.3 minutes per game.

Royce O'Neale

O’Neale (hip) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Hornets. O'Neale will be unavailable for the first time this season due to his left hip contusion. In his absence, Dorian Finney-Smith and Trendon Watford could see additional minutes.

Doug McDermott

McDermott (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against Atlanta, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports. McDermott was given a questionable designation a few hours before Thursday's tipoff, and he'll officially be unavailable for the first time this season. Julian Champagnie and Cedi Osman could see increased work against the Hawks.

Alex Caruso

Caruso (toe) is available for Thursday’s game against the Bucks, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Caruso was questionable for Thursday's matchup, but he'll be able to appear in a second consecutive game despite his left toe strain. Zach LaVine (foot) has been ruled out, so Caruso could see additional minutes for Chicago.

Zach LaVine

LaVine (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Bucks, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. LaVine exited Tuesday's game against the Celtics due to right foot soreness and will be forced to miss at least one additional matchup. Alex Caruso (toe) will be available and could see an uptick in work Thursday, while Ayo Dosunmu and Jevon Carter are also candidates to see increased run.

Kristaps Porzingis

Porzingis said Tuesday that he’s feeling good and making progress in his recovery from a left calf strain, Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston reports. “I think, very soon. Very soon,” Porzingis said, regarding his potential return to game action. “Not 100 percent sure if it’s going to be next game, but hopefully right after that.” Porzingis' comments essentially rule him out for Friday's game against the 76ers, but he seems to be leaving the door open for a return to the lineup Monday, when the Celtics travel to Indiana to face the Pacers in an In-Season Tournament Quarterfinal game. Head coach Joe Mazzulla said Nov. 26 that Porzingis will be re-evaluated in about a week, so expect the team to provide an update on the big man's status at some point over the weekend. While Porzingis has been sidelined for Boston's last two games, Al Horford has stepped in as the team's starting center, while Luke Kornet has entered the rotation as Horford's primary backup.

Anthony Edwards

Edwards (hip) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Jazz, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports. Edwards was considered doubtful for Thursday's matchup, so it isn't very surprising to see him officially ruled out. Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kyle Anderson, Troy Brown and Shake Milton are candidates to see increased run against Utah. However, coach Chris Finch hopes Edwards' injury isn't serious and is optimistic that the shooting guard will be available Saturday against the Hornets.

Bryce McGowens

McGowens will start Thursday’s game against the Nets, Sam Perley of the Hornets’ official site reports. McGowens came off the bench in his first 11 appearances of the season but will join the starting lineup for the first time with Brandon Miller (ankle) unavailable Thursday. McGowens started seven games for the Hornets last year and averaged 13.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 29.1 minutes per game during those appearances.

Brandon Miller

Miller (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Nets. Miller was questionable for Thursday's matchup due to his left ankle injury, and he'll be unavailable for the second time this season. Bryce McGowens, JT Thor and Nick Smith could see additional playing time against Brooklyn, while Miller's next chance to suit up will be Saturday against Minnesota.

Gary Payton

The Warriors announced Thursday that an MRI revealed Payton suffered a strain right calf in Tuesday’s game and will be re-evaluated in one week. The Warriors' statement seems more positive than a recent report from Shams Charania of The Athletic, who stated that Payton had suffered a torn right calf and would be out indefinitely. It now appears that Payton's absence could be shorter than initially expected, with a return date in 2023 a possibility.

Chris Paul

Paul (lower leg), who has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Clippers, underwent an MRI on Wednesday that revealed a contusion, and he’ll be re-evaluated Monday. Paul sustained a lower leg injury late in the first quarter of Tuesday's game against Sacramento, and he'll be forced to miss at least two matchups. A better idea of his status should come into focus once he's re-evaluated, but Cory Joseph and Brandin Podziemski should see increased run in Paul's absence.

Doug McDermott

McDermott is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game versus Atlanta due to an illness, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. McDermott is expected to miss his first game of the season Thursday after being a late addition to San Antonio's injury report. Julian Champagnie and Cedi Osman are candidates to receive extended minutes in his likely absence.

Jeremy Sochan

Sochan (knee) is available for Thursday’s game against Atlanta, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports. Sochan was probable for Thursday's matchup due to his knee injury, and he'll officially be able to suit up. He was limited to 17 minutes Saturday against the Nuggets after sustaining his injury, but he had averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 32.6 minutes per game over his five appearances prior to that matchup.

Jericho Sims

Sims played 28 minutes during Westchester’s 110-85 win over Maine on Wednesday and registered eight points (4-6 FG, 0-1 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Sims led the team with 18 rebounds, including seven offensive rebounds, both of which are new season highs for the 25-year-old. The 25-year-old has now compiled 30 rebounds through his first two games played this season.

Miles McBride

McBride tallied 17 points (5-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and a steal while playing 33 minutes in Westchester’s 110-85 win over Maine on Wednesday. McBride had a solid outing Wednesday, finishing second on the team in points scored despite shooting just 38.5 percent from the field. The 23-year-old's four assists were also goo for most on the team.

DaQuan Jeffries

Jeffries logged 37 points (13-25 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and six rebounds in 31 minutes during Westchester’s 110-85 win over Maine on Wednesday. Jeffries had a dominant performance in Westchester's win as he led the team with a season high 37 points. The 26-year-old is now averaging 30.0 points through his first two appearances in the 2023 campaign.

Larry Nance

The Pelicans announced Thursday that Nance aggravated his right rib fracture and is expected to miss approximately 4-6 weeks, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports. Nance missed Wednesday's game due to a non-COVID illness and was slated to miss a second consecutive matchup Friday, but he'll now be forced to miss extended time after aggravating his rib injury. Cody Zeller and Naji Marshall are candidates to see increased run while Nance is sidelined.

Ryan Rollins

Rollins (knee) won’t play in Friday’s game versus the Magic. Rollins's absence streak will extend to six games Friday due to a right knee strain. His next chance to suit up is Wednesday's matchup with Philadelphia.

Keon Johnson

Johnson notched 17 points (8-18 FG, 1-5 3PT, 0-1 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and a steal over 28 minutes of Wednesday’s 119-104 G League loss to Delaware. Despite coming off the bench, Johnson saw the third most minutes of any Long Island player and didn't disappoint. He tied for the team high in both assists and rebounds while finishing with the third best point total.

Danuel House

House (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Celtics, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. House continues to deal with a bruised left quad and will be unavailable for a fourth consecutive matchup. Patrick Beverley, Nicolas Batum (finger) and Marcus Morris are candidates to see increased roles again Friday.

Jaden Springer

Springer (illness) is probable for Friday’s game against Boston, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Springer has missed the last two games due to an illness but will likely be able to return to action Friday. He played single-digit minutes in his last two appearances and isn't guaranteed to see a significant role if he's cleared to suit up.

Nicolas Batum

Batum (finger) is probable for Friday’s game versus the Cetlics, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Despite suffering a right finger injury in Wednesday's contest, Batum isn't expected to miss any further time. The veteran forward has started in his last seven appearances for Philadelphia.

Joel Embiid

Embiid (illness) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Celtics, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Embiid was a late scratch for Wednesday's game against New Orleans due to an illness, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to return to action Friday. If he sits once again, Marcus Morris, Paul Reed and Robert Covington should see increased run.

Christian Koloko

Koloko (illness) won’t play in Friday’s game versus the Knicks, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Koloko has yet to suit up this season while dealing with a respiratory condition. There is no timetable for his return.

Ricky Council

Council registered 32 points (14-20 FG, 1-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and a block over 39 minutes of Wednesday’s 119-104 win over the G League Nets. Council was nearly unstoppable offensively, finding nylon on 13 of his 15 shot attempts inside the three-point line. The outing marked his second time surpassing the 30-point threshold. Over seven games, Council is averaging 24.3 points and 5.9 rebounds across 34.3 minutes.
