Mark Bryant joined the Sonics coaching staff as an assistant coach on Aug. 23, 2007.
Bryant spent 15 seasons as a player in the NBA with 10 different teams from 1988-2003. He joined the assistant coaching ranks in 2004-05 with the Dallas Mavericks and served the role of assistant coach/player development with the Orlando Magic. He appeared in 797 regular season games during his NBA career with Portland, Houston, Phoenix, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, San Antonio, Philadelphia, Denver and Boston, averaging 5.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He helped Portland to the NBA Finals in 1990 and 1992. Bryant played for P.J. Carlesimo at Seton Hall University, and again for the NBAís Portland Trail Blazers from 1988-1995.
