Jeff Green will don the Green and Gold after being picked fifth overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2007 NBA Draft and traded to the Sonics later that night as part of a blockbuster deal. The Big East Player of the Year, Green helped lead Georgetown to the Final Four for the first time since 1985. He was named Most Outstanding Player of the East regional. Green's well-rounded game fits the style the Sonics are building. He showed off that game over the summer, averaging 14.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in NBA Summer League play. Green was one of just two rookies chosen for the USA Basketball Select Team that scrimmaged against the Senior National Team prior to the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship.
