76ers Announce 2022 NBA Summer League Roster, Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – JULY 1, 2022 – The Philadelphia 76ers announced today the team’s roster and schedule for both the Salt Lake City Summer League (July 5-7) as well as the NBA 2K23 Summer League in Las Vegas (July 7-17). The 76ers will begin play in Utah on Tuesday, July 5 at 7 p.m. ET against Memphis at Vivint Arena, while the Las Vegas slate will kick off on Saturday, July 9 versus the Raptors at Cox Pavilion at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV.

The 76ers’ roster is headlined Charles Bassey, Isaiah Joe, Trevelin Queen, Paul Reed and Jaden Springer.

This past season, Joe (55 games) and Reed (38 games) both set career highs in appearances while each also set personal marks in single-game scoring in 2021-22.

Meanwhile, as a rookie, Bassey saw action in 23 games with the 76ers while also appearing in 17 games with Philadelphia’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. Bassey averaged 18.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and a league-best 3.4 blocks, leading Delaware to an appearance in the G League Finals. Following the G League season, Bassey was named to the All-League, All-Defensive and All-Rookie teams.

Springer enters the 2022 Summer League coming off a season that saw him appear in two games with Philadelphia while also helping the Delaware Blue Coats reach the G League Finals. The 2021 first-round pick averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 19 G League games.

Queen, the reigning G League MVP, finished fifth in scoring at 25.3 points per game, while leading the G League in steals with an average of 3.2. In 19 games (all starts) with the Vipers, he also averaged 6.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 35.0 minutes per contest. Queen helped Rio Grande Valley capture the 2022 NBA G League title.

Along with Queen is Julian Champagnie, who joins Philadelphia after earning his second consecutive First Team All-Big East selections with the St. John’s Red Storm after posting averages of 16.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game as a junior last season.

Aminu Mohammed and Michael Foster Jr. both will also be featured on the team. Last season, Mohammed was named to the Big East All-Freshman team after posting averages of 13.7 points, 8.2 rebounds which ranked third in the Big East while his 1.6 steals per outing ranked sixth with the Georgetown Hoyas.

For Foster Jr, he most recently played for G League Ignite, where last season he averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25 appearances.
